Stayed at this hotel due to convenience and being pet friendly. Had no major complaints but please don't expect to too much. Quiet and not to badly appointed. The staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was a bit more than I expected and definately took advantage of it. Would be perfect for short stays for those who are watching their... more

The brochure for this property proclaims it to be "affordable luxury". I'd call that an overstatement. I view this motor hotel as a budget facility with a nice upside. We stayed recently to attend a wedding in the area. Our room was spacious and clean & quiet. The room furnishings were a bit threadbare, but still acceptable for economy traveling.... more

My family ( 14 of us) booked 5 non-smoking rooms through hotels.com for June 27, 2008. We called 5 days ahead of time to verify the reservations . The manager Jim Woodside was very rude. It wasn’t just what he said but the way he said it. He told us we only had 2 rooms booked, a different price than... more

This is the second year we've stayed at the Lee's Inn for the Kalamazoo moped rally. It always seems to be the best value in town--for $62 a night, we get a big room, free high-speed Internet, coffeemakers, a pool, and a free hot breakfast that's very good as free hotel breakfasts go. We were happy overall--the staff was nice,... more

First of all let me inform you that I am not the average critic but I am a “retired superintendent of schools” that has had hundreds of employees under my jurisdiction, at any given time, and have a background in human resources. I retired 10 years ago and volunteer my service with the Hearing Loss Association of America. In this... more

Just terrible! Staff unproffesional--didn't even know what they were doing. Asked for a non-smoking room, got a non-smoking room; it was filled with the stench of cigarette smoke. Very dirty. Beds not made, bathroom disgusting. I walked over to the restaurant across the street every time I had to use the bathroom...wouldn't dare enter that shower (thankfully we were only... more

The hotel has potential but needs some work. The room and facilities were clean. Nice exerrcise room. The pool was nice and warm, but full of screaming kids, and the hot tub was not hot, only luke warm, about the same temperature as the pool. The breakfast was very disappointing. The food is pre-cooked and heated in the microwave, not... more

My father and I recently stayed at this hotel. We were in town to attend a Kalamazoo Kings game. We could not beleive the negative reviews of this place. We had a great stay here! We had adjoining suites, which the hotel gave us at the regular room rate, right off the main staircase to the lobby. Our suites may... more

When we checked in to Lees Inn and Suites, the night auditor had cancelled our reservation to run her reports. She told us she'd fix it to reflect our occupancy. We were exhausted, so we placed our "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door and fell asleep. At about 10 AM the next morning, another guest attempted to enter our... more
