The first thing we noticed in our room. The floor was very uneven. When the toilet water is slanted, you know you have a problem. Our bathroom sink had a chunk missing from it. The beds were horrible. I felt like I slept hog tied over a wooden barrel. They advertise a social hour, but they just don't do that... more

Wow, not surprised on the down fall of this place. We had several dance outfits and tap shoes stolen while we were at the onsite breakfast. I'm not shy, so I caused a stir with the manager, who's attitude was "oh well". I forced my way into the cleaning staff room, to find our dance hangers and clothing bags, but... more

This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in years. The place is dirty; the bed was a back breaker that had first seen service in the civil war; there was no soap; the towels were stained; the bedclothes were stained; the food was awful and the management could not give a damn. more

I stayed three nights on business and I only stayed after the first night so as not to embarrass my Kalamazoo business associate who had booked the room. I can verify the comments of the other reviewers. This hotel does not meet any minimum standards and has a management that does not care about anything. There was no shampoo, no... more

We were at this location for one night. Our first room did not have a working faucet in the bathroom. We were switched to a different room where the telephone did not work. Finally we were switched to a smoking room(prefered non-smoking), and again without telephone or internet connection. We gave up and stayed in that room, because by this time,... more

We have children who love to swim, and always inquire about the pool when we book. We had called to book earlier in the day and the clerk said there was a pool, but didn't mention that it was out of service. We could not get hot water in the room and complained to the desk. He said it was... more

Many issues! When we arrived the person at the desk said the card creator had not been working properly all day and that the manager was upstairs trying to fix. Seems to me that if it had not been working all day the manager should have had it fixed before the big rush at 3:00pm. There were two tv remotes... more

I went there with a double room booked. Instead they put us in two single and charged us almost double. The manager never returned my call until I complained to corporate and then he basically told me it was not his fault. more

My family of three stayed at the Hawthorne Suites Kalamazoo late in March. We payed a little more than usual on Travelocity because we wanted a nice pool and breakfast and the hotel appeared to be slightly upscale. We arrived in the afternoon and found that they are in a total remodeling mode. There is drywall up and down the... more

This was the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. There was one employee at the desk ,the hot tub was out of order the pool was very dirty and was closed for cleaning and she didn't know when it would be opened, so our kid were disappointed immediately. The elevator sounded terrible and unsafe, our non smoking room smelled... more
