We enjoyed a wonderful night at the Stuart Avenue Inn. In spite of having had a busy weekend with a wedding at the Inn, our hosts could not have been more accommodating. We had a lovely room, went to a wonderful restaurant (Rustico) that was suggested by the hosts, enjoyed a peaceful walk to see the historic homes in the... More

We stayed in the Bartlett room for two nights. A good sleep and a good breakfast. Dana and Chris were marvelous hosts, their personal touch was tops, and Belvedere the dog is very well behaved. The building is a really nice period home and decorated appropriately. There is a nice garden. As with many old B&Bs there is ongoing renovation,... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us, and your tolerance for the construction. The new roof on the back house and the side porch are complete. Love the punny(?) moniker. More

I spent two nights here while at a conference at Kalamazoo College. The location was ideal, adjacent to the college and on a beautiful wooded street with large gardens so that the area was quiet but convenient. The home is an historic house, being sensitively updated by the couple who runs the B&B. They are charming and knowledgeable, and very... More

My husband found this inn and surprised me with a weekend getaway to stay in this lovely home & enjoy a great concert from Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra players at the art museum ("Classics Uncorked"). We loved that the home was tucked amid its picturesque contemporaries in a lovely historic district. We were able to easily walk to the shops &... More

Glad you enjoyed your visit in K'zoo. Thank you for your kind words, and your husband for his kind gesture. The Art Institute is such a treasure, as is the Symphony. First weekend in June is the Art Fair at Bronson Park - a variety of artists and a manageable size. More

My husband and I stayed overnight at the Stuart House Inn while attending Bell's Eccentric Day on 12/ 13. We called ahead to see if we could check in just a bit earlier and were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to stay in the main house and no problem with checking in a half hour early. Our room had a... More

The greatest compliment I think a B and B would get is repeat business. We have stayed at the Stuart Avenue Inn at least 10 times and will continue to make this our ,"Home away from home" as long as our daughter lives/works in Kalamazoo. The house is just beautiful, the owners could not be friendlier, the food perfect and... More

Over the past few years I have travelled to Kalamazoo regularly on business. On my first trip I tried several hotels in the area, none of which I found particularly pleasant. Then I chanced upon the Stuart Avenue Inn, and I have come back again and again. My work takes me to many hotels and B & B's, and I... More

From the moment we arrives the innkeepers made us feel relaxed and at ease. The room was wonderfully homey without being cluttered or gaudy, the bed was very comfortable. We slept very soundly as it was quiet and a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent, ginger pancakes with peach topping was my favorite, the perfectly seasoned hash browns my husbands. We... I had my wedding ceremony at the Inn--Chris and Dana were so friendly and professional, and they paid attention to small details in the set-up. The ceremony and cake reception were exactly how I'd hoped. My guests loved staying at the Inn, and the breakfasts werefabulous. I only wish that I had a few more days just sit on the... More

Stayed three days. One of the most enjoyable experiences I've had. Dana and Chris are wonderful hosts, great to visit with, very accommodating, and made me feel at home. Food was exceptional. Will bring family here when traveling to Kalamazoo. Inn is located in a historic neighborhood with many beautiful homes, close to WMU and K. College, and downtown.
