I recently stayed about 1 week for work. There are several places to choose from in Ironwood but this is probably the best of the bunch. The hotel is right off the main road in town and easy to find with plenty of parking. Like all the AmericInns it has the soundproofing walls which keeps everything quiet in the room.... more

AmericInn is one of our favorite hotel chains which is why I chose this hotel for a one-night stay en route to Marquette. Lodging is plentiful and much cheaper in Ironwood but there are very few franchise choices. The on-line rates for a 2-queen room with fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker were $129-139. We were not expecting to stay in Ironwood, but our car broke down and it was necessary. We chose the AmericInn as we had seen their ads....did not even realize the other chains were in town. Stayed here Dec. 30-Jan. 1, 2005. We were part of a group of families doing some skiing in the area. This was a great base. Clean rooms, nice breakfast and inviting lobby. We played games in the lobby until about 10-11pm everynight. Then they do insist on lights out. But with all of the skiing we did, we were exhausted... more

As a business traveller, I stayed for two nights. The accomidations were prefect for my use. The is a pool and hot tub to relax in and a computer to complete your daily cummunications with. The AmeracInn in Ironwood Mi was a nice facility...clean rooms and a beautiful pool area. Never take your children !!!
