We were looking for a place just to sleep and this fit the bill...not the fanciest or newest but it was clean and enough room for the 3 of us. Bathroom was clean and it had a good size fridge. There's even a small breakfast in the lobby.

So of course I was worried about staying at a place that is so inexpensive. But I was wrong, and I will stay here every time I go to see my relatives. The rooms are spotless, and the staff are SO friendly and accomodating. Three weeks after my trip I am still thinking of how pleasant it was to stay... More

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend 2014. My sister booked a room for her family and one for mine. After she told me I looked at the reviews and was very worried as the reviews stated that it was very run down and many people stated the rooms smelled terrible. I was concerned as I can't handle... I enjoy staying in hotels from the Bellagio to a Mom and Pop cabin in the woods. Also I work front desk at a hotel so I have seen quite a few different approaches to managing lodging. I am impressed with this little motel. After a 12 hour drive, I decided I wanted the cheapest room I could find that... More

This is the first time reviews on Trip Advisor have been way off from the reality of the hotel I stayed at. This place is so far beyond "deferred maintenance" that it's a teeny-tiny dot in the rear view mirror. Quite honestly, if there were a TV show such as "Motel Impossible", I'd nominate it in a heartbeat. Walk in... More

I was up north for a day off and need a place to stay. Found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like I was in my own bed. I will be staying again in the future.

Were in Iron Mountain, MI for a Golf event and were booked at the Budget Host Inn, was sceptical at first but was pleasantly surprised. A no frills simple but good, nice, clean old fashioned Motel. People were super friendly and stay very comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.

I recently discovered the Budget Host Franchise in 2010 as I began traveling more to the UP. The one in St. Ignace- which is no longer on here was my first experience and I was blown away. St. Ignace is notorious for HORRIBLE, dirty and noisy motels. The budget inn there was ranked #1 on here and with good reason-... More
