Lake 'N Pines Lodge was our "find" of the summer. Close to Traverse City and Interlochen (we were attending a concert there). Our host, David, was amazing. He was friendly and bent over backward to make sure our stay was comfortable. We booked the cottage which has 2 bedrooms, a nicely appointed kitchen as well as a living room area... More

Dave was available to serve all our needs. Breakfast was excellent both mornings, served fresh and hot. The main house smells of maple bacon and breakfast...a very delightful smell! We booked the Navigator room and the Moo and Brew package to go along with a Steely Dan concert at nearby Interlochen Music Institute, 5 minutes away. Definitely suggest Lake and... More

Thank you for your comments, we greatly appreciate them! We are going to take a look at the layout and see how we can add some storage space - maybe a dresser in the closet area or shelves. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back in the future. Just an FYI- we offer complimentary... More

Very friendly proprietors. Nice cozy location on the end of the lake. Breakfast was tasty and nicely cooked. Rooms were basic, nothing fancy, but well kept. Near Traverse city, maybe 20 minutes away. .

We booked the Vino Adventure package with Lakes n Pines and went with 3 other couples last weekend. We had an incredible time! David gave us some great suggestions about where to eat, and Melanie added a distillery visit to our wine tour after asking me about it. They were right on with all their suggestions! Everything was wonderful and... More

I had a large room, complete with fireplace and a separate single bed if needed. Very cozy with access to kayaks on a fairly secluded lake. Breakfast was custom cooked by Dave and tasted great. I'd stay there again.

Dave and Melanie Olsen have created a lovely hideaway on the shores of Lake Dubonnet, complete with rowboats, canoes, and kayaks for your enjoyment. We stayed in the Angler's Nook on the ground level of the separate unit - complete kitchen, deck with table, chairs, and grill. On the fourth night we moved to The Navigator inside the main house... Shared 2 bedroom unit with another couple. Lots of room in the common area, full kitchen, nice deck, and as for breakfast....Wow. You can opt to go to the main eating area...or have it delivered to your door! Delicious! Dave greeted us when we arrived, and was the cheery voice of breakfast each morning. The only areas of improvement I... More

Lake 'N Pines Lodge was a lovely place to stay. We booked two nights by mistake, but David Olsen was fantastic about it and didn't charge us the extra night! We arrived later than expected, but David was a kind and gracious host and took care of our needs for the night with ease and grace. I AM planning on... More

Just like I said in title I would like to keep this place a secret because it was beautiful and I would like to keep it all to myself (kidding). I visited this place end of June and was skeptical at first but when we arrived I started to feel the nature and relaxing setting this little place sits in.... More
