arrived at 11:30 p.m., first room night stand covered with ants, in drawer, bottom shelf. second room, all four surfaces in bedroom had not been wiped down--night stand, tv, dresser and corner table sticky with some spilled substance. Too tired to switch again. Showered next morning, noticed water slow to drain. Staff cleaned during day, sort of, still sticky table... more

The best feature of this hotel is that is cost less than the other local hotels. I'd stayed at the Holiday Inn at Pellston before, which is nothing special but they wanted 50% more per night for this presidents weekend. Stayed here with my Father for a Family Reunion in Wolverine Michigan. It was very close to 1-75, which was great after my long drive from Detroit Metro Airport. Check in was easy, and room was ready. Large lit parking lot. Easy access to room. We only stayed two nights, so I cannot comment about day to day activities. The... more

I've stayed at quite a few Holiday Inn Expresses and this one was NOT up to par. First of all, it is an older building that seems to have been stocked with the new Holiday Inn Express amenities. Other than that, there is really nothing to make it as good as most of the other newer hotels in this chain.... more
