Stayed 2 nites, room was dirty, "jucuzzi room" in reality was a "whirlpool room". Breakfast was a joke, food (bagels) thrown on a table still in bags we had to dig thru, coffee, horrible. They told us on phone we would have a king room with jacuzzi. It was a whirlpool tub. Cold handle in tub didn't work, some lights in room didn't work. Lightbulbs didn't match, toilet dirty. Pillows need to be replaced. Floor uneven. Beachfront could have been cleaned up better. Free breakfast wasn't very nice, coffee was very weak. Very disappointed. more

We spent two nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff was second to none with accommodations and local information. We have stayed at just about all the major hotels in Houghton Lake and this one is "Head and Shoulders" over any of the other ones and believe it or not the rates were less. We stayed at this hotel over the weekend, on the last night of our vacation. This was the first time we stayed in the Houghton Lake area, and we thought we would check it out on our way home from Mackinaw City. could have been cleaner, the beach was full of seaweed and no one ever raked the sand, large hole in the screen, not enough chairs on the beach for all the people that were there. more

Hotel is relatively new and sits right on the lake. Has it's own private beach with chairs, docks, firepit. Rooms have baconys.
