I stayed with my 2 small children and the lake was great. The owners not so great. There was an outbreak of swimmers itch while we were there. My daughter was hosing off, like she was told, and the owner yelled at her for "playing with the hose". The owner also pestered one of the other guests several times about... More

We came to Poplars with no idea of what to expect. When we arrived we were pleasantly suprised. The units have TV w/ cable, WiFi, an in room air conditioner, stove top, grill, fridge/freezer, and more. My only complaint about the unit was the couch and beds in our unit were soft, but I heard others had firmer furniture. The... More

The cabin my family and I stayed in for the week was adequately stocked with the basic kitchen items and it was mostly clean besides some rather large cobwebs behind the tv/entertainement area. The real issue is the unfriendliness of the owner. Besides the inappropriate language she uses while speaking to her guests, it becomes obvious very quickly she is... More

Stay away from this resort until it is sold. The campground area is nice and the grounds are nice, but thats it. If you want to enjoy your vacation and not be yelled at by the owner dont stay here. Stay was just awful, multiple rooms didn't have working toilets, comforters appeared to have not been washed in months, air... More

We rented 5 of their units; two were nice, the remaining were dumps. The bottoms of our socks were black after walking on the carpet, cobwebs in the corners, dirty dishes in the cabinets & dirty cabinets. We had to bring our own sheets which is a good idea because we found out on the last day that they don't... More

The resort is right on the lake and close to town. The bad part is that the resort itself has not left the 1980s yet! Most of the resort is in desperate need of a remodel! The game room has the latest technology of 1975! You are paying for conveniance, not ammenties!

Rooms are clean and owners are friendly. A great place to bring your family for a holiday weekend.
