Rooms are dingy and outdated. Arrived Friday and room was clean at that time. Saturday housekeeping never serviced our room. Contacted the front desk requesting at least towels and our garbage emptied. Nobody ever came. My son had to go get some towels from the desk so we could shower. At checkout I was told "they were not sure how... More

Stayed at this Hotel Jan 22nd, 2016. I have to say that it was conveniently located close to downtown however the fact that we had to wear shoes in the shower because it was so disgusting and there was an unknown substance such as puke or urine down the side of the mattress was not worth the convenience of being... By no means is this a 5 star hotel. I don't expect it to be, I don't necessarily need it to be. The hotel is accessible by snowmobile, yet downtown which is perfect for our group. Only issue with this hotel, for our group, is the staff - some employees are awesome, some are terribly unfriendly. I would recommend this... More

I have stayed at 2 different locations in Houghton MI. They were nice and more expensive. The travelogue reminds me of a ski lodge! It was old and clean. It had a beautiful ambience about it. The beds were so comfortable. That will be the only place I stay they when I visit there again.

If this place wasn't in such a good location, I wouldn't go again. But it is in a great spot to entertainment and food. The place is just plain worn out. Rooms smell musty. The beds we had were updated and very comfy. They do have continental breakfast, it is typical.

Only redeeming quality is the location. Terribly needs an update and cleaning. Given the quality of the hotel, price is way too high. Will choose to stay elsewhere next time and pay more. Lobby and rooms were smelly, hallway floors uneven, bathroom tiny.
