We spent three nights here while dropping our son off at MTU. We found the staff friendly, the property clean, the location great, the bedding fantastic, and the view from our forth floor room unbelievable. All for the fair price of $65-70 a night. (One night was more than the others for some reason.) I found the pool area very... more

Great location in town, could walk around town and to the pubs. Pool and hot tub looked nice but did not use. Front staff was very helpfull with info... more

I was visiting a friend and decided at the last minute to stay overnight, so I called the Travelodge, which is very conveniently located downtown Houghton near the lift bridge, and was formerly the Best Western Kings Inn that I had stayed at many years ago. They quoted me a price of $64 plus tax, and I couldn't pass that... more

We stayed at this hotel for weekend in February while doing a college visit at Michigan Tech. The hotel was convenient to the college and was in easy walking distance to several downtown restaurants. The hotel is a bit dated and it can be hard to find a place to park. The continental breakfast was average. It has a nice... more

Stayed with a friend in March. Chose the Travelodge for its location in downtown Houghton. Got a great rate by simply stopping in and haggling a little. The proximity to bars and restaurants was key for us as it was only a short stumble home at the end of the night. The room was slightly dated but clean, as is... more

I stayed at the Travelodge in downtown Houghton on a trip by myself to the western Upper Peninsula. The motel itself was nice. There were locks from the outside to the interior hallways, and my room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was nice. The breakfast was good - lots of choices for foods. The location was excellent. It... more

This hotel is one of the best in Houghton and I've stayed in plenty of other hotels. Pool area is remarkable with a great view of the lift bridge and canal. Their continental breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious. Highly recommended. more
