The hotel is located right at the center of Hancock and access to downtown Houghton and restaurants is very easy. Hotel is clean and managed well, but old. Had a CRT TV in our room! Mostly covered parking which is a big plus since it was raining when we went. Free breakfast is ok.

Stayed at this hotel midweek, so it wasn't too busy. Since it's in a downtown location, it is built with interesting "zigs and zags." It's also a bit challenging to find from the main access road. Rooms are extremely dated. Old electric baseboards (mine wouldn't work, but the one in the tiny bathroom did), old style tube type televisions (hey... More

Thank you for sharing your comments about your stay at our motel. We do have plans to upgrade our wifi network and a couple other upgrades around the motel that I think guests will appreciate. We hope to be of service to you again. More

Staff were very accomodating. The room was very clean and updated. I slept good! Internet connection not the greatest but ok. It has continental breakfast, but not a large selection. The pool looked good and they have a sauna as well. There was a coffee pot in room. No elevators, no microwave or refrigerator in my room. But really, for... More

It is a place to lay one's head, rest a while, stay warm and stay dry. It is not a destination, not an experience. Glad for the shelter. Convenient to the locale. Building is 30 years or more old. Old style of modular motel construction. Super 8 or Holiday Inn Express style. Has indoor swimming pool. Don't know its size.... More

This was a great price for Michigan Tech's winter commencement weekend - $76 with tax. I went to MTU, but had never even been in this motel. Was formerly a Best Western, but really felt like an older Super 8. Don't expect the same building quality as the [pricier] Magnuson over in Houghton. But the staff was very kind, pool/spa... More

Sure, this is not a 5-Star hotel. But I found it to be most comfortable and the front desk staff was very courteous. Room was very clean, had a coffee maker and was very quiet. Best part was the covered parking (great plus during a winter storm), and the hotel is just a few feet away from the Kaleva!

The room was very large and clean and the beds were comfortable. It was quiet and the continental breakfast was good - especially the waffles. The price was extraordinary give the quality of this place.

This place is a joke. The worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The room was not ready when when we wanted to check in. We had to wait a hour before we could get into the room. Then we were quoted a price and that changed. Don't say there. The room had a non working phone and the amenities... More

This was our second stay here and it was a pleasant experience. The room was extremely quiet, immaculate and comfortable and we love that it is next to the best restaurant in town- The Kaleva. Their continental breakfast is decent, but it could never compare to the food next door. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for... More

This hotel was just so-so. Rooms were clean, and pool was fine, but that's about it. Breakfast was waffles and cereal (no attendant), which was also fine. Hotel layout was very strange. No particular reason, but probably wouldn't stay here again.
