Haven't been to this restaurant in quite some time as it is a bit of a drive. Glad we came.Had a delicious dinner tonight. Steak was perfect. Whiskey walnut chicken nice and tender. Shelly did a great job as our server. No complaints. The dining room is very pretty,Victorian with a nice fireplace, background music not overwhelming.

This is a pleasant place but if one goes to bed early, the floors creak as people move to their rooms. Checkout is also difficult since the only staff on a Sunday morning seems to be cleaning staff. I did not eat here as there are other places nearby.

We came for a wonderfully organized wedding reception. The food was very good, and service is attentive. Environment is unique here, with enclosed garden. There is a quite loud bar, which can be an issue if you stay with kids in the rooms. This is a nice place to have a romantic dinner with your wife.

My friend and I were visiting Greenville from Grand Rapids and decided to stop here for lunch. We were seated by the hostess who was a bit rude - when we asked her a question about something on the menu, she answered very abruptly and was walking away while she was answering. We sat for over 20 minutes without a... More

We recently returned to my hometown (Greenville, Mich) and stayed at the historic Winter Inn downtown. It's been around since the early 1900's and remains a popular place for locals to gather in it's voluminous bar (which you need navigate often to reach your upstairs room by way of the stairs!)! The walls are filled with framed photos of days... More

We work in construction and have been traveling around the U.S. staying at various hotels for almost four years; this hotel is by far the best place we have ever stayed. The owners went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We were given the master suite at the low regular room price, the staff was extremely pleasant... More

We took a friend and his spouse here for a birthday dinner...we did not stay overnight. Food was good and the menu has been expanded. Their pan fried walleye is hard to beat and is one of their specialty dishes. Each of us had a dinner dinner and all were good. We have been frequently this restaurant for 25 years... More

The Winter Inn was built in 1902 and still has that very historical ambience. Though the rooms are not fancy, they are clean, with updated bathrooms, free wifi, snacks and drinks just down the hall, and a really good restaurant and bar downstairs. Our room had a large flat screen TV and was very quiet. The beds weren't great, but... More
