The Grand is located right in the heart of downtown GR. This puts you right in the middle of all the action. We go ever year for ArtPrize, and always stay at The Grand. The rooms in the newer tower, have recently been remodeled and are very nice. Ask for a river view room as high up as possible the... More

My wife and I stayed here a week for a national conference. We were in an older section and the room was well appointed, but smallish considering the price. I heard that the rooms in the newer building were bigger. The bathroom was tiny and you could not sit on the stool without leaning to avoid the sink. Also the... More

Stayed for a two night business event in the adjacent Devos Place, which is reached via a walk way, or a very pleasant walk along the riverside. Room in the Tower was very nicely appointed, with a good view of the river and downtown buildings. Service on arrival - at valet, front desk and bell captain was excellent. All requests... More

Recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. To say it is beautiful is an understatement! This 1930s hotel has retained its original woodwork and chandeliers while sporting a brand new all glass tower that rivals anything in New York! Our room, in the older hotel section, was roomy and immaculately clean. The hotel features a Ruth Criss Steak House and... More

Our room was on the newly renovated side. While it was quite small, it was also very nice and comfortable. The pillows were exceptionally comfortable and I slept well. The walls are a little thin and we could hear others coming and going so I suggest ear plugs. The people at the front desk are really nice and helpful with... More

We have stayed at the Amway several times in the past, but because the hotel was "sold out" except for the Concerige Floor, we booked this for a bit more $. It was great to have open access to the lounge for free happy hour which included drinks (more than beer & wine) and hot appetizers. Great view and relaxed... More

I love conventions at the Amway! It truly is it's own destination. I have never had anything but excellent service, with fabulous rooms, and I have visited many times. I am especially fond of the "older" side, but the view from the Towers is wonderful in the evening.

The Amway Grand Rapids is located Ina beautiful part of the city with magnificent views of the river. It is a large hotel which offers many choices in dining such as Ruth Chris Steakhouse and an upcoming Wolfgang Puck eatery. We found the rooms to be quite modern in the updated Towers section. The views from our rooms were wonderful.... More

My first visit to Grand Rapids was to a conference at the adjoining convention center. I was pleasantly surprised at the easy, quick check in and the very efficient and helpful staff. The room was nicely appointed but not huge. Not small either. But for its location the room was bigger than I anticipated. Decent wifi and large TV in... More

Grand Rapids is a walking city. I can walk all along the Grand River next to The Amway Grand Hotel. It is an amazing place. Some of the best Art Work decorates this Hotel. Reflective of an ERA gone by. It is one of the most romantic places to be in the USA. It is a great place to be... More
