Costumer service is TERRIBLE!!! Not only is the staff rude, but they are NOT helpful either. The hot tub stinks, rooms stinks, even the odor when you walk in the doors of the hotel it just STINKS. the cost for the hotel is REDICULOUS being that it's absolutely terrible. This is worst than a motel. Location is TERRIBLE. Oh and... More

No, it's not the Waldorf Astoria, but it has the feeling of an old hotel. The room I had was somewhat dated but still functional. Almost had an old world European flavor to it. I give them credit for installing sleep number beds. I arrived late for a one-night stay and the kitchen had just closed. The front desk was... More

I came back to this place for my return trip to Grand Rapids. It has a great location being just minutes from downtown, without having to pay the huge downtown prices. The staff was excellent as usual. The hotel and room could use a bit of updating but were clean. Plus they have free comedy night on Sunday's in the... More

Let me start by saying that the staff was very friendly. The lobby welcoming, but the good stops there. The first room I checked into had water dripping from the ceiling that had obviously been repaired before (unsuccessfully). The elevator was incredibly slow so I asked for a first floor room...they put me right on the corner of the hall... More

The only good part of the hotel is the bar, which I usually never go to on business trips, but had a great time with the other guests. Wish I had tried the hot tub; pool was chilly but clean. Gym bike was kind of broken. Half the staff goes the extra mile to accomodate guests needs, the other half... More

Dear Valued Guest, We sincerely appreciate your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. It is unfortunate that you did not get a chance to use our hot tub as our spacious pool area is truly one of our unique attractions. I am disheartened to hear that not all of our staff went the extra mile to accommodate your needs.... More

I stayed here on July 23rd. I always look on Trip Advisory before I stay somewhere. Even if I have stayed there before. I stay at this hotel about every 3 -4 months. When I saw the negative reviews I wondered what had happened since the last time ( which was 3 months prior ) that I stayed here. I... More

Stayed here when going to event at the Van Andel Arena. Hotel was not as pictured in the add. Parking lot dirty! King Room small. Elevator very small. Heater in room had odd smell when it was working. No fan in bathroom. Told desk about the odor said it would be cleaned. Only good thing from desk was suggestion to... More

The room had nothing that would normally be included in your stay: No microwave or refrigerator or even an exhaust fan in the bathroom. We had to freeze because if you turned on the heat it smelled like someone had peed in the heater! (I mentioned this fact when checking out and they said they would have someone clean that;... More

Friday night when we checked in we discovered that we'd been assigned the accessible room which wouldn't have been a major issue. Except the shower was unusable as an able bodied individual. Maintenance removed the chair from the tub so we could use it. The room itself feels a lot like a dungeon and sort of smelt the same. But... More

We stayed at the Riverfront before a recent event at Van Andel Arena. Not impressed to be honest, for the price we paid we expected more. The parking lot and outside of the building was dirty and grungy. It did not give a good first impression, felt sleazy. Check in was fine and the clerk was helpful when we made... More
