I stayed here last summer while on a motorcycle trip with my son while looping Lake Superior. The owners are great and allowed us to park our motorcycles inside their shed overnight which was really nice since it rained overnight. I'll definitely stay here again!

We had a great time staying here, the property is well maintained and very clean. Grand Marais is a very small and charming town, the property sits on a hill away from the main street. In the afternoon I enjoyed opening my window and hearing the church bells chime from downhill. The owner, Delphine, is so kind and accommodating. I... More

An average motel. Rooms are clean, but beds, bathroom are substandard. Great view, pleasant owners. A short ride to downtown bars and restaurants and handy to The Falls and Pictured Rocks. Would recommend trying other choices in the area.

Delphine, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. The view from our room of the Grand Marais harbor of refuge was simply breathtaking. We arrived on a windy day and Lake Superiors waves were awesome. The room was very well equipped, up to date and very clean. This property is located close to all the major attractions in the area... Owners are absolutely nicest ever. The rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable and welcoming with a great view to boot. Husband thoroughly enjoyed hot tub and spa at the end of the day. I felt their genuine concern to best accommodate us even before we actually checked in, even though we had some last minute changes in our plan. Very helpful.... More

Nicely furnished room with a terrific view. A small motel, but amenities include cable TV, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, wi-fi, even a night light--just like a big city chain. Comfy queen beds. Lovely little town convenient to the east end of Pictured Rocks National Seashore and north of Seney National Wildlife Refuge.

This is the first place I would stay in Grand Marais. I know I would get a clean comfortable room by owners who care about their rooms and guests. See how much the chain hotels cost and what you really get for that value.

We stayed at this motel as only other motel in Grand Marais was sold out. The room was about average. There was practically nothing in this room. The microwave and a small refrigerator were unplugged. There is no A/C in the room and the room was hot, just had a noisy floor fan. The beds were soft as marshmallows and... More

We were on a family vacation and arrived in Grand Marais on 8/27/13 with no plans of where to stay. We checked out several other places that appeared old or dirty and then were lucky to find the Voyageurs. The owners are really friendly & the rooms are exceptionally clean. The motel is on a hill above town with a... More
