Made last minute (1 month out) reservations. I think we had the worst rooms at the place. Right off the room that served breakfast / main entrance. That being said, it was a good stay. I'd stay again. The owners are great, very hospitable and friendly (kind of a prerequisite), but they're always available and ready to answer questions or... More

Everything went fine here and the location was on Main Street but at the end so the hustle and bustle was elsewhere leaving the evenings quiet. My room was exceedingly dark, very dark paint on the walls which felt a bit gloomy although very clean. It was also warm, just the configuration made the windows useless for cooling the room... More

The inn was very well maintained. We had a room with a private bathroom and a small refrigerator. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were brought in. We were within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Glen Arbor. The Heritage Bike Trail was just across the street and led to most of the sites in... More

A lovely Victorian B&B right in the heart of Glen Arbor. Meticulously maintained, with good size rooms, nice quality linens, updated baths, and good continental breakfasts, . We loved the wrap around porch and comfortable furnishings for enjoying a breakfast or an afternoon aperitif. Very helpful innkeepers always help to make the stay enjoyable. There is also a hot tub... More

We had a lovely stay in the Sylvan Inn, unfortunately we only got to stay one night. The rooms were clean and decorated in an English style. The breakfast the next morning was very tasty (a selection of cereals and fresh fruit! Juices, milk, coffee, tea), we had it sitting in the sun on the veranda. The owners were very... More

We stayed the evenings of August 2nd and 3rd while visiting Glen Arbor for a wedding and had a lovely stay. The hotel is centrally located on Western Avenue and we enjoyed walking up and down the block to the local restaurants and shops, as well as down the block to the lake. We stayed in a comfortable room on... More

My husband suggested that we stay at the Sylvan Inn for our visit to Glen Arbor and Traverse City this month. We had a great time. The owners were very friendly and showed us around the property. They also gave us suggestions on local places to eat and visit. The room was clean, the bathroom was updated, and the complementary... More

We just spent a night at the inn and if they hadn't been booked for the weekend, would've stayed another. Wonderful host, accomodations, location! I wish I'd brought my suit for the sauna and whirlpool! Ah, next time! Breakfast is not a hot breakfast, but more a European, buffet style. More than adequate and coffee, tea and hot cocoa is... This is a very nice B&B, very well located. Short stroll to the fun restaurants and shops of Glen Arbor, short stroll to the nice beach looking out to the Manitou Islands, short ride to the Sleeping Heritage Heritage Trail -- a marvelous bike bath winding through forests, a campground, Glen Haven, and dunes, ending (for now -- they'll soon... My husband and I traveled to Glen Arbor / Sleeping Bear Dunes for three nights over the Labor Day holiday and although it was a drive from Indianapolis, it was WELL worth it! We were stunned by the beauty of this area and think it is absolutely a hidden gem in this entire country. We have stayed at several bed... More
