Treated to delicious breakfast each morning in this inn. Innkeeper and staff very helpful and did amazing despite having to work around severe damage that was caused by heavy winds and downed trees resulting in loss of electricity and services around town. A generator helped provide for the guests almost immediately. Attractively furnished. The wraparound porch was a nice touch.

A lovely house with comfortable rooms and a great porch to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the traffic go by. Location to restaurants, shops and the bike path was perfect. The innkeepers and owner were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious! We fell in love with the area and will definitely visit again.

For over 22 years,my wife and I have been regular guests at the Sylvan Inn,which is now under the third owner during our stays there.First,we thank Rose and Ralph for their complete dedication to the Inn during their ownership, and for their many elegant touches to the Inn,the attention to detail, and their gracious ,welcoming hospitality during that time.We were pleased to... My husband and I have visitied the inn for the last 10 years. This year was a pleasant surprize with new owners and innkeepers. Everything has always been sweet but now it is even better! The rooms are lovely and always immaculate. The breakfast now includes hot items such as delicious egg quiche as well as cold items such as... More

Good downtown location within walking and biking of petty much everything. We found the inn to be clean and comfortable. There is a great front porch with tables and comfortable seating. Breakfast has something for everyone from fresh fruit and yogurt to eggs and baked goods. There is a hot tub and sauna. My husband left his tablet outside and... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Sylvan Inn once or twice a year for the past 7 years. We spent our honeymoon there and had such a wonderful experience that we always looked forward to returning. Sadly, there has been a change in ownership and our last visit was not as enjoyable as it could have been. The... More

You can't ask for better location in the Glen Arbor/Sleeping Bear Dunes area. You're within 15 miles of more than 20 wineries, two casinos, an Arnold Palmer golf course and all of the natural beauty found on the Leelanau Peninsula, including Sleeping Bear Dunes. Of course all the restaurants and bars in Glen Arbor are walking distance as is Lake... More

We stayed here for 3 nights visiting the dunes. The home is quiet, clean and comfortable. There was a nice porch in our room #4 which would have been useful in warmer weather. The house is right near the Heritage Bike trail and allowed us to bike all the way to Empire. Breakfast included excellent baked goods and healthy yogurt... More

2 twin beds with "very soft" mattresses. Hall tree, hooks with hangers, one large dresser with 4 lg drawers and 2 smaller ones at top. Queen Anne chair in corner, tiny sink near window (only one window in room) and two luggage racks. Room is on first floor near the "coffee" and "hot cocoa" area. There is a distinct smell... More

The Sylvan Inn is in the perfect location to enjoy Glen Arbor, walking distance to the entire downtown restaurants and shopping. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable and the Innkeepers were helpful and friendly. They even helped us find a "hidden" beach that was wonderful. Breakfast good too. Highly recommend!
