We stayed in the front half of one of the cottages (R). The cottage is certainly from the 50-60's era and decorated as such. The owners were very sweet and offered lots of conversation and suggestion on where to visit in the area. Our half of the cottage was a bedroom, large bathroom with tub and shower, living room with... More

If you have mobility problems then this is not the place for you. Otherwise, this is a very family friendly environment. The host/hostess are so personable and accomodating. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is wonderful, and the cost is affordable. I stay here once every year and will continue to as long as Howard and Irene are still in... More

We agree that the Lodge is not for everyone, but if you are looking for an adventure and wonderful conversation with the owners, you might love it. We love it! Really a warm and nice place to stay, hosts are very nice and the price is very affordable. I've been there for two years, every time I lived there, I like the historical building, old fashion decorations and story hosts told us, really like a grandpa's house! Recommend!

I agree wholeheartedly with evanbonobo's previous review of the Blaney Lodge. Both the lodge itself and its owners are quirky and have a lot of character, but what some would call quirky, others might see much more negatively. The building is over 100 years old and looks it, both inside and out. I'd describe the decorative scheme as "garage-sale eclectic"... More

This bed and breakfast is run by a nice couple, but the lodge is old and a bit run down and so the rooms aren't very big and all the fixtures and amenities are not in tip-top shape. We thought the place was rather clean, though, overall, and it was nice they offered pie to guests every afternoon. They do... More
