We stayed here with another couple for an adult gofling weekend. We each had a King size room that opened to the parking lot. We knew that it wouldn't be a five star hotel because of the price, but thought we could handle it. The hotel is OLD! The rooms are OLD! The beds were so hard that we all... more

This motel is just off the I75 and conspicuously visible from the highway, very easy to find. I stayed there simply to break a long driving trip. The motel is named Alpine Lodge because the whole town adopted an Alpine theme in the 1960s and has a lot of buildings with a kind of campy fake-Swiss architecture. I stayed there... more

My wife and I went here for a 4 day weekend so that we could ski at Boyne Mountain. We ended up with only 1 ski day. Sunday the weather was 30 below windchill so we stayed in. The hotel has seen better days but we stayed warm and confortable. It was only a 20-25 minute drive from Boyne Mountain... more

Went upnorth with my brother and his wife for a 3 day weekend. My family has been coming to this hotel on and off for years. This is my first time back in about 5 years. It has changed and has seen better days. The pool area is still the same as i remember which was great and the staff... more

I TRIED to stay at this hotel. I stopped by at 2:00 AM on 8 September, with my son and 2 year-old grandson, after a 7 hour drive from Copper Harbor, wanting a few hours sleep before heading on to Detroit to catch a plane. I waited 5 minutes in the lobby, rang the bell 3 times --- nothing --... more

we had a nice visit in gaylord with some family and stayed at the best western. shopped around when we arrived in town and the other properties were rude and unhelpful. the staff in both the resturant and hotel were friendly and eager to help. dinner was delicious and at a discount for hotel guests. the pool was very nice... more

Old and musty. Went for a wedding. Numerous families stayed there and everyone was so sorry they did. Television didn't work. Alarm clock kept going off at various times during the night. Air conditioner had two settings. Frigid or hot. Woke up from just a few hours sleeep with a stiff neck and back. more

I stayed here with my dad on our mushroom hunting trip. I booked the hotel online so I could get a good deal. The hotel is in a good location. It is right off the highway and there are plenty of places to eat. It is within walking distance to the local grocery store and Dairy Queen. The town is... more

The room was very nice, the staff friendly, the WiFi was good. We enjoyed the pool, sauna, and whirlpool. A weeknight, so had them all to ourselves. Nice that the room opened directly into the pool area (which closes at night, so not noisy in room). The restaurant was not worth it, though. more

Upon arrival, our room had a terrible chemical smell. We opened all of the windows and went out for about an hour. The smell persisted. We sprayed the room with perfume and turned the air conditioner on while we went to the pool. The smell persisted. It was late and we were too tired to relocate so we remained in... more
