Just returned from a stay at this place. Overall, it was pretty average. Positives: Great location, nice sized room, very friendly people at the front desk, pretty clean. Negatives: Thin walls, extremely cold pool, luke-warm hot tub, musty swell in the room. To expound, there really aren't many places to stay for a night in Frankfort. The other highly rated... more

Frankfort is a cozy little town nestled on the northern Lake Michigan shoreline, and Harbor Lights sits on the beach where the town spills into the lake. If you're going, you'll want the beach-front condos. Harbor Lights has a variety of condos and motel-type rooms, but only about half are on the water, facing the Frankfort Lighthouse and breathtaking sunsets.... more

This region of Michigan is great for hiking, beaches and wandering in the sun. But it does not seem to have many waterview hotels to choose from as opposed to Traverse City or other lakeside areas. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed Frankfort and the hotel, but with some reservations. In future trips we will likely look for a better... more

Checked in and stayed at a deluxe suite w/jacuzzi, a little small and cramped but still fine, a little pricey (about $230/night). Our room was right next to the road, very loud lots of speeding cars/motorcyclcs so we asked if we could move, they were very kind and polite, we were able to switch rooms, much quieter. The beach is... more

My wife and I stayed there for our honeymoon. It was early May, so not a lot of people around, which was good. We booked one of the honeymoon suites (1st floor w/whirlpool). I can't think of anything about the room that was not good. We didn't plan on going out much, so we brought our own pots, pans and... more

We came into Frankfort on a Tues. without a reservation and asked the Chamber of Commerce for a beachfront hotel so they mentioned Harbor Lights. H.L. had vacancies and we were offered several rooms. One near the water had very little natural light and overlooked a parking lot for $130 so we opted for the more expensive one bedroom with... more

Just brought a family of six here for two nights. Sleeping Bear Dunes does not have many places to stay much closer than this. The rates were ok. The condo we got was a bit small. Nothing extra like free breakfasts of any kind. The indoor pool was very nice, the condo was clean and the location is within walking... more
