It was out first trip and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Inn is very quaint, the service is excellent and the setting is old world Germany. Just a short walk over the covered bridge is the town of Frankenmuth Michigan and well worth an afternoon stroll. The Cass river runs through town with a paddle wheeled boat cruising the river... more

Our family had three rooms on the river side with balcony. Great view and Great room. It even had a refrigerator which was a nice surprise. Food in Oma's restaurant was fantastic. We ate there for breakfast. Family fun center was very entertaining. The pools were great. more

We stayed here while visiting for my father-in-law's wedding. My husband grew up around the area and always wanted to stay here. Once we arrived, however we realized there was nothing spectacular about the place, especially for the price. If you are a family with children then this is the place for you, otherwise it isn't worth paying for. Service... more

We went with a ten year old, and a one year old...Both had a great time. There was never a minute anyone was bored....In fact no one wanted to leave. We even had some issues with our baby...They had everything we needed. They went over and above for us...It was really appreciated!! more

My husband, daughter and I stayed here last night just for kicks. Because we live in the area we've known many people who've stayed here and we've heard good things. The check in went ok except that the woman who checked me in had a legnthy chat with the man who was dropping off phone books while I waited. Then... more

We just returned from a trip to the Bavarian Inn Lodge and all I can say is don't waste your time. The room was subpar at best with uncomfortable beds and paper thin walls. The bathroom door even had a large burn on the top of the door from a previous fire. Evidently that was caused by the wrong bulb... more

Stayed here with our school age kids and older parents a few weeks before Christmas. Frankenmuth is a pleasant place to spend a day shopping but obviously crowded at this time of year. The Bavarian Inn is cute with nice ambiance in the public areas(eg live Christmas trees, choirs singing, etc). They have several pools(which were fairly mobbed on a Saturday... more

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with the Lodge. Happy to hear that you enjoyed the pool areas and appreciated the cleanliness throughout. Regarding the spaciousness of the bathroom. The owner is a women who designed the vanity area to be outside of the toilet/tub area so two people can functionally use the bathroom at...

We started visiting the Bavarian Inn Lodge with our sons a couple years after it was built. The Lodge has grown larger over the years as have our sons. Now it is just me and my husband. I am always surprised when posters remark the decor looks dated. It looked dated when it was brand new because it is patterned... more

A sincere thank you for taking the time to expound on your feelings about staying at the Lodge. When a guestroom is themed to look like it is somewhere else, it is difficult to "defend" the appearance to folks who are expecting a trendy designed American theme room. I want to always be sensitive to guests having the wrong impression...

We come back here almost year for a few days around the holidays. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to assist us in any way. We travel with teenagers and grandparents so it is not always easy finding places to visit that both will enjoy. That is never a problem here as... more

We stayed here in early December on a weekend. The hotel was clean, the rooms ok, nothing spectacular. The pools were a little disappointing - all small. We came with the impression that it was a "water park". Probably our fault - just assuming 5 pools meant water park. We enjoyed playing a round of mini golf and video games.... more

Thank you for evaluating your stay at the Bavarian Inn Lodge. I am sorry that our pools did not meet your expectation. The Five indoor pools are very spacious. The Bavarian Inn Lodge boasts more water square footage than almost all hotels in Michigan. What sets us apart from most water park hotels is our lack of slides. Also our...
