Stayed here for a night with a friend while visiting the dunes. Stayed in the Gilbert room upstairs. Very quiet and comfortable. They really make you feel welcome and gave us advice on a place to eat dinner. It was late and most places were closing but they sent us to a popular hot spot in town and that too... More

First time ever at a Bed and Breakfast....Susan and Van were fantastic host and hostess to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. .. Susan is a French chef with credentials and breakfasts to prove it. The sauces and scones were wonderful and their knowledge of the area was so helpful to us. So many nice tiny touches too numerous mention in... More

We always enjoy staying at this lovely B&B close to Glen Arbor and Empire, but out of the fray. Comfortable rooms, pretty garden. Enjoy the quiet and watch the hummingbirds at the window while you eat Susan's delicious breakfasts.

Stayed here for one night. Had the main floor bedroom, which was quite large and comfortable. It is right off the lounge with glass doors and curtains, so we found that a little uncomfortable. We were there during a regional power failure, but they had power fortunately. Breakfast was quite satisfactory, with juice, coffee, fruit cup and French toast. The... More

We were happy with our stay at Sleeping Bear Bed and Breakfast. Our room was quiet and cozy, with a good bed. We had a very nice breakfast the next morning. We did share a bathroom, but it was very clean and not a problem because it was clearly stated when we booked the room. If you need lodging away... More

We have been coming to this wonderful B & B since 2011 and each stay is just as magical as the first. Susan and Van (the proprietors) are very welcoming to each of their visitors. (Although I should add that it does help to be a gracious and considerate guest) Susan has a wonderful touch in the kitchen and her... More

We still have, I believe, the record for the longest stay at the Sleeping Bear. It was a matter of two weeks plus; we had stayed for one to two weeks during the preceding two summers. We were graciously received on all occasions and never had a repeat breakfast menu. The inn keepers were as charming as the other guests... More

We stayed in the Leelenau room since or 16 year old son was traveling with us. The room has occupancy for 4, but no room for anything else. The beds were clean, comfortable, and the sheets were even ironed. Our hosts had a lot of pride in their home. The room had a lot of funky angles and was not... More

I don't have a lot of experience with B&B's, so I hope my review is fair. The place is away from the hustle and bustle of Glen Arbor and Empire, which is what we were looking for. The place is an old farmhouse with 4 rooms. Two have bathrooms, two have to use a hallway bathroom. We stayed in the... More

Right off 72 on the way to the lake. Absolutely loved this place. Our hosts, Van and Sharon's many talents were immediately apparent. Sharon is an amazing cook. Breakfast was some kind of omelet with some kind of soft white cheese and red peppers, served with thick crispy bacon. buttered toast muffins, fruit and juice. Van is a sculptor by... More
