My girlfriend and I had a two night stay in early March. Wonderful location in town. The beach, restaurants, and stores are all close by. Things in winter are a lot slower in Empire than the summer months, but that has it's advantages. We must have seen 20 deer just walking around town at night, which doesn't even happen at... More

We booked two nights at the Lakeshore Inn in Empire. It is located just down the street from the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Visitor Center. We requested a room with a kitchenette which is located upstairs. It was a perfect solution for a long trip. There was a small sink, countertop area, refrigerator and microwave. The room was clean and... More

This Inn is older, but under new ownership and they are fixing things up. They provide solid accommodations near the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The rooms were clean and comfortable with everything in working order. Those closest to the office have screaming internet. The service was friendly and accommodating. We had one minor noise problem (thin walls) which was handled quickly... More

Great service and very accommodating. Great base to set up camp to all the attractions nearby in Sleeping Bear Dunes. They also rent fold out beds if you have an extra guest or a couple of kids like we did. I would say the two best beaches we visited were North Bar Lake & Platte river, can't beat these two.

Had a wonderful experience at this cozy inn in Empire, MI. Megan at the front desk was so sweet and helpful in every way. And if your so lucky you get to meet Polly her daughter who is such a cutie. Megan directed us up to Glen Arbor for the day which is another hidden gem of a city here... More

My fiance and I stayed here when in town for a family event. Meghan at the front desk was sweet & very helpful. Room seemed to have been recently updated- comfy king size bed, flat screen TV. It is an older building, so there isn't much in between the walls- luckily we had considerate neighbors. That is the only reason... More

This is a wonderfully located motel within walking distance of places to eat & shop. Our family stayed here because it is just minutes away from Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. A public beach is maybe a mile away. This independent, family-run property is older but very clean and fulfilled our needs for a 1 night stay. It is a MOTEL... More

We found Laleshore to be an excellent location to get to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes as it is just minutes away. Also very close to the public beach in Empire which is a very nice beach. The room itself was clean and adequate for our one night stay, but everything is just basic and the bed was very hard. I... More

The place has new owners as of June. The owner was great on the phone and helpful during our stay. We booked late and got the last room. The Inn is at the intersection of MI 22 and MI 72. The Harley's and diesel pickup trucks were loud and lots of them. The room was a typical 1950's motel room.... More

Great staff and quiet rooms were just what we needed after a long day at the Sand Dunes. Clean Towels, sample soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Coffee maker and coffee provided free of charge. Flat screen tv. 2 full size beds were perfect for my husband and I and our 2 children. Cute decorations gave an "up north" feel... More
