I stayed here two nights to attend a wedding on the grounds. The Inn and its grounds are truly beautiful, with their riverside setting, tiered gardens, brick and stonework, and wide green lawns. The waterside pergola is a lovely site for a wedding ceremony and the indoor reception area a cool respite from the summer heat. The catering and other... More

Stayed in a cottage over labor day weekend and the fire place didn't work. Nothing was fine to fix it nor where we compensated. Still waiting for the owner to call me, it's been 2 weeks with no return call.

Very elegant surroundings. Every room is different and has its own identity. Very spacious. Comfortable beds. Hot tub!!! Very remote area and taking a walk is a must. The food in the restaurant is not your average restaurant food and it is absolutely delicious. The lighter breakfast in the morning was yummy too!!!

My husband and I stayed in a cottage called The Ivy. Spacious and lots of nice things added. Huge bathroom with jetted tub, fireplace. My only complaint would be it smelled musty. Not sure if that was from the well water or the fact it needed to be aired out after a long winter. We ate at the restaurant and... More

We tried out the new Croquet Cottages on this visit. They are wonderful! Lots of room. The bed is large and comfortable. The towels are fantastic. The bathroom, with chandelier, is huge. The large bubble tub is perfect. You can see the tv while in the tub. Huge, separate shower is great. Fireplace in front of the bed. Nice deck... More

This was our third stay at the English Inn, it's perfect for a weekend getaway as it's only an hour's drive from our home, but it's a world away. This trip we stayed in the Somerset Room, a large room at the front of the house. We try to check-in by 3.30pm, and spend an hour in the pub in... More

Our recent weekend stay was frustrating due to lack of a basic service - water. When we arrived we were unable to wash or brush our teeth because extremely reduced water pressure resulted in extremely limited water flow from faucets. While showering the water flow completely and totally stopped mid-shower. The inn manager said that when the kitchen dish washer... More

I loved this place, We stayed in the honeysuckle cottage and three couples occupied it. We had dinner at the main house and of course breakfast was served at 8:30am the next morning. How wonderful was our stay. Each couple had their own suite. It was beautifully decorated and had a hot tub in the bath. We weren't celebrating anything... More
