We were supposed to have a king size bed, but there was so much confusion at check in (new management, lost other people's reservations, they had to go somewhere else - lucky them!), we had a studio with a queen bed. The bathroom had not been cleaned, there was a used/dirty wash towel hanging from the shower rod, toilet was... More

Spacious. Amenities as an apartment- end of good items. Grounds are fair, parking is poor. Close to MSU why they charge so much. Rooms look neat but poorly kept up. Stained chairs. Dirty walls and doors. The pool was NOT maintained at all, in the middle of June...it is Was filthy and unsanitary. No care about even trying to clean... More

The room was covered in dog hair. The sheets were torn and dirty. Electrical outlets were broken with exposed wiring. The sink had no stopper. The toilet broke and backed up. Once we couldn't wait any longer for maintenance who never showed up to fix the toilet, we asked for our money back. Management said they were fully booked and... More

I spend a couple of days at this location last week. The room had everything from dishes to a dishwasher. All I had to do was bring in food and I was ready to rock. A full kitchen is important to me since I am on the road a lot and prefer to cook my own meals and save myself... More

Booked this hotel through Priceline in early October. They had flooding issues so several in our group were moved to Quality Inn. Mind you we had already paid for our booking. One of our group members dounle-paid for the nights at Quality Inn. Catherine Morgan, at Gatehouse Suites promised she would reimburse us. It's been almost 5 months now and... More

Before you decide to give into their inflated $300-400 a night price for Commencement weekend, you should know the state of our hotel room this weekend, which is not worth the price we're paying now. My box spring on my bed is broken in half. Some of the outlets are hanging out of the wall exposing wires. Water is melting... More

I stayed in Gatehouse Suites at a very cheap, long term rate during snow and brutal cold. It is very close to Michigan State U. The management does not maintain the driveways and most walk ways are snow covered. At best the owner "chips away at the ice" to quote a staff member. One of my colleagues slipped. I checked... More

I reserved three rooms for me and my colleagues to attend an event at MSU. At check-in, they said that one room was cancelled while neither I nor they cancelled it. The prepared another room for us, but that was a very small room with one bed. Two of my colleagues agreed to stay in there, but I originally reserved... More

The room is spacious and had full kitchen, clean though. Upkeep on room seem to lack, 1st room had Broken bathroom light, no heat and was told by front desk to use space heater at night, no that is a big hazard, entrances to all rooms outdoors not convenient in winter months and very icy, no salt on hand, not... It is a great location to campus and short drive to town. Very spacious as there were 2 of us and we had a studio suite with 2 beds (queen only) and pull out couch, could easily sleep 5 comfortably. That being said, the rooms seemed to be very worn. Our bed, sagged in the middle. Carpet throughout was slightly... More
