Stayed at the hotel for the Thanksgiving Day Lions game. Had an amazing experience dealing with the staff! They were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The best of the best was the shuttle driver Andre! He was absolutely amazing! They had a free shuttle that took us from the hotel to a short walk away... More

DO NOT stay at this hotel! The main lobby is thick with bullet-proof glass and when we asked the front desk if this was a good part of town, he said, "Yeah, ya know, it's downtown"... There were homeless people walking around and had tents set up nearby. When we walked down the hallway to our room, it smelled TERRIBLE... More

I arrived at the Detroit Regency for the Thanksgiving game 2014 and was a little disappointed. The room looked old and worn, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean it was. Breakfast was small but comparable to other hotels in this price range. The great feature of this hotel was the shuttle bus that took us to the... More

The hotel front desk staff was very helpfull! We arrived in Detroit to a major power outage. The hotel we had reservations at was closed due to the outage so after scrambling last minute we found the Detroit Regency. We enjoyed our stay as we were meeting two other couples for the Lions game. The rooms were not the newest,... More

My boyfriend & I were weary to stay here because of the mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. The only reviews I found to hold true were that you are limited on towels in your room and the wifi was hit or miss sometimes (but if you ask them they will reset the router and it will work fine .. being... I stayed here for the Detroit Marathon along with a bunch of other runners. We were able to walk to the race start in downtown in about 20 minutes. This property is not new, but it is well kept and the staff are friendly and helpful. People who claim this property is "terrible" are just incapable are articulating that this... More

Traveled to Detroit for the Pearl Jam show last night, and we're very impressed! We weren't sure what to expect as the price was so reasonable. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the area is really not that bad at all!? They offer a free shuttle to and from the Joe/where ever you want really.. the... More

We stayed for a concert. There were a few good things. A free shuttle to and from the concert and very friendly staff. Beds were really small. The shower was clean but had no pressure. We only got 2 towels left in the room for 4 people. The air conditioner dripped water on the rug leaving a bad smell in... More

This motel is NOT in a bad area of town; for that, try the Packard Hotel. OK, so it's not within walking distance of Greektown, but then, you will have to pay fancy prices for that. The staff (Steve at the desk and Andre at the wheel of the shuttle) were amazing. Andre especially gets kudos for his personable shuttle... More

The motel is in a bad area of town. You don't dare walk anywhere. Only one set of towels for 3 guest. Suffered flea bites while there. Was informed if you stay past the 10am check out time, it is an additional $10.00 per hour. Lot of 'street' traffic. Morning free breakfast consisted of wheat or white toast and cold... More
