This Residence Inn was ok. It was off the beaten track. Kind of difficult to get to because of certain parts of the high way being closed. I think they need to update their directions on website and include the detours. Nonetheless, It was a decent stay for business if that's what your doing. Its quiet and secure. However, there... more

I stayed for two nights July 31-August 1, 2008 on my trip to the Henry Ford at Dearborn, Michigan. This is a residence type hotel geared to the nearby Ford Motor Company. I noticed this as the room rate dropped from Wednesday night to Thursday night. The property is located next to the Southfield Freeway M-39 about 10minutes from the... more

I don't know what the others are talking about but I liked this place when I stayed here for two nights at the end of September 2007. Typical of all the Residence Inn, it provides you with accomodations that is reminiscent of an apatment dwelling. The friendly staff are all very eager to help you and provide you with all... more

I should have read these reviews before we booked our stay. My husband stays in Marriott properties when he travels on business and has probably stayed in 50+ different Marriott properties in the past. He has never had a bad experience. Until now............ As we drove up I noticed the barbed- wire encased compound, security car, and padlock gate--not good... more

The Residence Inn was a wonderful hotel, the staff was great and grounds neat and clean. The breakfast great bacon and eggs with all the extras. Plenty space in the room and good food in area for dining out. more

We chose the Residence Inn based on: Location - it is very close to the Henry Ford Museum, which we were visiting; Marriott brand - we have had nothing but positive experiences with Marriott; Laundry facility - we were travelling for two weeks, and were in need of a washer and dryer. We called this property directly, and were pleased... more

Hotel was remodeled 1 yr ago, needs remodel now. Staff pleasent, but not at front desk when we went for assistance. Room clean, but needed detail cleaning, stains etc. No hair dryer in room smoke detector falling from ceiling. Bed was lumpy. Our room was next to basketball court, people still playing at 12 pm, no sleep that night. Door... more

I stayed at the Residence Inn Dearborn the week of Jan 24, 2005. I did not find the conditions to be as described in previous reviews. The place is being remodeled and the plans look promising. The location is next to a Holiday Inn, a Chili's, a Wendy's, Officemax, and Compusa. Behind the property across the "barbed wire" is a... more

Detroit Residence Inn Stayed over the weekend of 10/2/04. The room was typical "Marriott". Decent seating center, the bed was as hard as a rock. The bathroom while spacious, was very dark. Spiders reign supreme in that many cobwebs and "spidy" residents have not been cleaned up for some time. While the desk staff was very rude and overcharged me.... more

If you like barbed wire fences, armed guards, and sleeping with a knife beside your pillow, this is the place for you. This "hotel" is located in a warzone. Our penthouse faced an eight foot fence with barbed wire on top - this was to keep out the children from the projects who like to terrify the guests. After a... more
