Located in the heart of Greektown, my concern was parking. They park your car in the safety of the Greektown casino enclosed lot. Perfect. Lots of near by places to eat with all hour night life. Room was spacious. Two large HD tvs, one in sleeping area and one in living room. Big spacious bathroom with jet soaker tub. Bed... More

We spent one night at the Atheneum on a baseball road trip. The room was gigantic and clean. The hotel lobby is so cool and the whole place feels like an elegant throw back. Great location to Comerica Park & they even have a shuttle if you don't want to walk. The bellman who took our bags the evening of... More

This hotel is in a great location, and the staff was awesome. Greektown casino was across the street. There were many places to eat nearby. The hotel was nice enough, pretty large room, but the ac didn't cool off the living room area. Fairly loud in the rooms from hallway and other rooms.

We got a suite for $130 and it was worth every penny! Large living room, huge bathroom with a large tub. The bed was very comfortable and all the amenities were solid. Very friendly staff. The only draw back was the free continental breakfast. The had cereal, no milk and muffins in plastic bags. I have seen better spreads at... More

It was my first time in Detroit and I didn't know much about the city. I had to stay for two days after attending a meeting and I wanted to take advantage of the trip so I could see what the city had to offer. Their guest service person was on point and she gave me great recommendations. We took... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was beautiful and the staff were very nice! I have to agree with others about walls being super thin. You can hear everything outside of your room. Also breakfast is not included on the weekends.

I read a few reviews before I went - I was attending a meeting in the hotel so didn't get to select it. My room was OK... The layout is a bit odd and I had two large columns in my room. One of the columns was right in the middle of the small living room and I had to... More

My 3 friends and I shared a standard suite room at this hotel (all rooms are suites) in May 2015 during the Movement music festival. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The check-in process was smooth, and they were able to store our bags until check-in time, since we arrived a little early. The rooms themselves (and we got... More

SO delighted we discovered this beautiful hotel in the middle of everything! it's a bit hidden as it is just around the corner from Greektown and the casino, but that being said it truly is within walking distance of so much. Atheneum staff were all truly wonderful, courteous, and so helpful. Hotel is beautiful and rooms are spacious, clean, and... More

The staff incredibly friendly, the shuttle service so convenient, rooms were clean and large, room rates reasonable - overall a pleasant stay. Amazing location. My only criticism is that the beds are incredible hard and somewhat uncomfortable. The décor was a little dated but not tired, a bit of an 80's throw back.
