We decided to stay in the Westin hotel when we realized that we had a long layover (over 8 hours). The easy access from the Detroit airport was very convenient. Checkin was easy and the room was very nice. The beds were extremelly comfortable, I would love to have one at home! We had to check out before 6:30pm because... more

Stayed overnight during two days of business meetings. Being at the airport was very convenient for either driving of flying in. I could occasionally hear jets take off in the background (while in my room), but only as part of the background noise and didn't hear a thing overnight. In the conference rooms it was easy to forget we were... more

Arguably up there with the Hyatt Regency at DFW. BIG rooms. Great restaurant. And if you want to shop or eat in the terminal, they get you in and through security on some kind of pass. more

We attended the Great Lakes Regional Music Festival over the past weekend at this hotel and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff, the room, the service and the amenities all exceeded our expectations. The hotel was most accomodating to all of the attendees. The kids had a great time. Being attached to the airport was neat for the kids... more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Westin (april 8th, 2009) We had missed a connection in Houston and got into Detroit around 11 PM, we had planned transportation to get back to East Lansing on the Michigan Flyer, but missed the last bus. We decided to stay @ the Westin since it was in the airport and right... more

This hotel was a breeze from beginning to end. It's beautiful inside the hotel itself and the rooms. Very modern, very clean, well decorated, just luxurious. The staff bend over backwards to help you and every aspect of your stay seems really considered. The food is very pricey but very good. I was amazed to get this room booked online... more

We recently stayed at the Westin Detroit after arriving to town late at night. We have stayed here several times (either before an early flight out from Detroit or after a late flight into Detroit). The rates are quite reasonable (especially on weekend nights), the service is great, and the location is ideal. The hotel is connected to the Northwest... more

We stayed here overnight to see a hockey game and absolutely loved it. Considered one of the casino hotels downtown but as we were leaving at 7:30 AM the following day it made more sense to stay at the airport. The lobby is beautiful and very peaceful with a large pool, tall trees and dimmed lighting. I didn't even want... more

This is definitely the best hotel at the Detroit airport - in fact, it's one of the best airport hotels in North America -- how many can boast valet parking and their own security checkpoint, meaning that it's just steps from checkout to the concourse? Awesomeness. Based on some serious changes in the regional hotel market, however, it's entirely inaccurate... more
