Any reviews you have read before this stating that the St. Regis was great is a FLAT OUT LIE.... The lobby was ok once you get to your room you have to pinch yourself cause you feel like you are in a La Quinta on skid row. Lamps and outlets didnt work, some type of splatter on the pictures on... When we first entered our room at Hotel St. Regis it felt hot so we turned the AC on and started unpacking. We noticed that it wasn't getting cool so we called the front desk for assistance. They sent someone up to take a look at our room AC and he said that the vent was turned off internally so... More

We just visited the St Regis from July 13-19 for a conference in downtown Detroit. The staff were wonderful in helping getting everyone checked in while having between 4-6 groups trying to check in with many youth at any given time. The rooms were nice, clean and well kept the entire time we were there. I loved the sheets and... More

Bryant Thank you so much for your review on our hotel. We all enjoyed you group very much. The staff mentioned on many occasions how well organized you and your team were. We are very happy that the convention was a success for you and all your attendees. I wish you had more time to get the Detroit institute of... More

Is this a professional hotel? I stayed two nights at the Hotel St. Regis from July 11-12. I accidentally left something in my room when I checked out at 4 a.m. for a red eye flight (which can happen when you don't get enough sleep). I called the hotel the next morning and told them I left something in my... More

A bit run down. Late night staff was not particularly helpful and the whole hotel could use renovations. Parking seems a little sketchy. Not a good value for the price. My room was worn and no frills, restaurant is not open late and I'm not comfortable walking anywhere from here.

This hotel is a lovely old building, and would have been very fancy in its day. These days, its not showing its age too badly, is great value ($92 all up for a king room on the top floor) and just happened to be in the perfect location for me - a short walk from the Amtrak station (felt safe... On June 5, our school had our prom was at Hotel St. Regis. We chose this hotel, because we had a good experience last year, and it's close to our school; many of our students do not have access to transportation. This year's experience was the total opposite!!!! The so called owner of the hotel was ghetto, unprofessional, rude and... More

Check is went very well. But you can tell by the old furniture in the lobby that's it's old as dirt. The first room wasn't clean so I went back to the front desk. I told the guy that it hadn't been cleaned. He says, "it should be!" No apology. He gave me a different room on a different floor.... More

Good price for large spacious rooms with all ammenities. You must try the New Centre Eatery directly opposite the hotel for breakfast. Hotel ordered taxis for us right to the door, cheap short ride into dowtwn for Comerica Park and the famous Coney Island restaurants.

Thank you for your great comments. We often hear from our guests that they really enjoy the location due to the fact you can walk to the Fisher Theater and or take in a free show at the New Center outdoor park right across the street. While there is a bit of road construction around us the crews for the... More

Stayed here for one night. Valet parking only and its $20 a night, but it's in a (seemingly) secure lot, so add that to your room price. Staff was very nice, room was clean and the building is very cool. Great location and is minutes from the DIA (which you need to visit) Not many cons from what I could... More
