After reading some reviews, we were not sure what to expect, but the price was right for a four night stay thanks to their fall sale. Upon arrival, we found our room as right off the elevator and weren't sure if we'd be calling to have that changed. There was some minimal noise from hearing the elevator moving, but nothing... more

When looking for an inexpensive, nice room in Detroit the St. Regis can't be beat. The rooms are well appointed and as nice or nicer than most rooms that go for almost double the price at some of the "chain" hotels a little further downtown. The hotel is connected to the Fisher Theater by a skywalk and located just 0.5... more

St. Regis has no ice or other vending machines. You must request ice from the front desk. Room with king bed had only one chair, one desk, and one nightstand. No pens, or paper.Face bowl, shower and drinking glasses were dirty. No soap dish; only conditioner, lotion and shower cap available.I didn't like the food, but others in our group didn't... more

I planned a weekend getaway for me and my fiance. We were going to go to the casinos and stay overnight at this hotel. I booked the room three days earlier on their website and paid in advance. Once we arrived they gave us our room and to our surprise they had given us a double bed room; when I... more

I booked our room by hot wire, great price. we were very pleased with hotel and restaurant, excellent food. Nice people are working at hotel, trying so hard to please everyone. The valet folks were very nice and courteous, the helped us with our luggage and made our stay more enjoyable. Overall, we recommend this hotel and love to stay there... more

Love the hotel, Love the phenomenal Staff, and your GM is the most hospitable person I have met. You don't usually meet the GM at many of the hotels that you go to and I travel quite a lot. I know that this hotel is a reflection of his management. I had a blast with the hotel and the final... more

When you think the St. Regis you think luxury. Well the Detroit St. Regis is anything but! It's a budget hotel for a high end price. We arrived during Final Four weekend. My husband and I pulled into the Valet parking area with 1 other car and no other customers around needing help. It took 15 minutes to have our... more

Chose because of meetings in New Center area, was pleasantly surprised by 'quiet quality' of the place. Nice folks that tried hard to please. Heard that has new management. Worth checking out if you need to be in the New Center area or want to get a little away from downtown. more

Despite some negative feedback, the hotel was close to a conference I was attending. The service was really good. The rooms were ok too. Neighborhood is emerging and hotel could use a little sprucing up, overall a great value. more
