My choice for the hotel was because other hotels (especially in downtown) were much more expensive. The hotel seems to be old, however the quality of accommodation is high. The rooms are clean and I have perfectly and comfortably slept there. There is a complimentary coffee from the in-room coffee machine and a possibility to eat in the lobby restaurant.... More

Room thermostat did not work - had to open window to keep from roasting. Found the beds and pillows uncomfortable. It took two requests to obtain extra bath towels - only two on shelf - our reservation was for 4 people in the room. Only ONE waitress working the entire dining room ( and tending the bar) half the menu... More

Thank you for dining and staying with us for the Fisher Theater performance. I sincerely apologize for the slow service and for being out of some of the dinner items. It is certainly not the norm and I have spoken with our staff to ensure that we work harder to ensure such things don't happen to other guests. Thank you... More

I booked a room through the Hotel Tonight app. The standard room price with taxes was $99. The building and lobby were attractive but the room was small and outdated but clean. The thermostat was not working properly, it was too hot. We tried to put the A/C on and even after 5 minutes it was still blowing hot air.... More

Yes the hotel is older but the staff and the food make up for it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I stayed 2 nights after a RED WINGS game and I'm so glad I did. I was so impressed my husband and I stayed there just to get away from the surburbs. We did not know that live entertainment... More

My friend and I are currently guests at the hotel and we are very pleased with the service, the room and staff. This old hotel has walls that speak of days of grandeur when staying at a luxury hotel was in its prime. The current management is successfully bringing this experience back to life! From the minute we stepped out... More

This an old hotel. Expect things to be old. Some things are outdated and others are imperfect. But the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Imperfect in what ways? The thermostat did not work and it too hot for me; I was told to leave the window opened. The door to the bathroom didn't latch.... More

Not given the room category we booked. Back to the lobby, carrying bags; no cart, certainly no bellman. Given what was probably the least attractive room in the Executive King Suite category-an eye level view of the HVAC from both rooms, and later, floor shaking, conversation stopping music from the restaurant/bar one floor below. We booked on the hotel site,... More

The hotel is an older hotel. I would say they could pay closer attention to the small details. We had a good experience - no real complaints. Our room was clean for the most part but could use some up dates and detailed cleaning: the television was very out dated, the carpet had some stains, there was no fan in... More

This is a great hotel - not too far from the downtown area, delicious food in the restaurant, extremely comfortable beds, clean rooms/bathrooms and free wifi. I spent four days during the Christmas holidays at the elegant and historic St. Regis in order to be near the Henry Ford Hospital visiting my mother and felt very much 'at home' in the hotel.
