This hotel was horrible. The rooms were outdated and the rooms I stayed in smelt like cigarette smoke and pot. I went there for a wedding on 8/30/14. My friends used this place as their venue. The food was horrible and staff was not up to par. I am not sure what they paid but I have been to a... More

On arrival at this hotel with the fourteen other members in my party, I was quite impressed by the regal outer appearance. The group had been informed that this was an old hotel that was in the process of being refurbished, but on entering the lobby, we were quite surprised by the condition of some of the furniture, two sofas... The building, it's beautiful, old architecture... The staff, very nice and friendly... The rooms, look nice, but when they renovated, they didn't bother updating the windows to double paned to keep the street noise out. There is a thermostat in the room, it does nothing. 95 degree day out and the room is over 80 degrees. The elevators were out... More

We have been staying here for the last few years for the Detroit Jazz Festival. Check in and check out were simple and quick. Rooms are clean an bed comfortable. I've never had a complaint staying here. Will be back next year.

I stayed here because our power was out at home. I am very picky about my hotel room and this definitely was not a good choice. They moved us from our first room because there was black mold in the bathroom. Our second room had the same problem and we could not get a refund nor a credit for a... More

O.K., so maybe this area of Detroit is not what it was in its heyday. It still has a lot going for it. Be sure to read the historic plaque in the lobby. The staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We asked for downtown parking tips and the valet was more than accommodating with us and our requested in and... More

You can feel the grandness of this hotel. A bit away from the downtown core which is a bit of a plus because you don't feel so trapped by cold soulless office towers. Staff could be a bit more stringent with their particular functions but all in all adequate for lack of competition. The prices for breakfast in the hotel... More

My spouse and I stayed at the St. Regis on Saturday (23AUG14) for a concert at Comerica Park. Hotels in the area had inflated prices due to events in the city - and St. Regis was an affordable price and close to Comerica Park. From check in to check out - staff were friendly and helpful. All of the staff... More

I stayed here for 6 nights and really can't complain. The showers had nice water pressure, the beds were good and the service was good too. Everyone at the desk was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay again if in the area.

We stayed at the St Regis one night last week and enjoyed our time spent. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and we loved having dinner and breakfast in the La Musique restaurant. My husband, who is Scottish, said that the sausage served was the closest thing to proper sausage he's had in the US. There isn't much to... More
