Among other things our purpose for visiting Detroit was to attend a baseball game at Comerica Park. This hotel is situated within 5 minutes walk to this venue and the centre of the city, so was very convenient for this purpose. Despite the elegant reception area, the room we had was a bit shabby and tired, but clean and served... more

This hotel was surprisingly good. Checked in without a hassle and got up to my room and got settled in. It was on a weekend and was quiet. The desk clerks were friendly yet professional. Don't know why people complain about the elevator-It is NOT shaped liked a coffin. It is simply rectangular-no big deal at all. My room was... more

Ok let me just say that me and my husband traveled to Detroit to see a Lions preseason game and a Tigers game all in one day and felt it would be too tiring to drive the 3 hours back home. I chose the Milner hotel mainly because it was within walking distance to both the fields. First off the... more

All the big name hotels were sold out and we did not have reservations anywhere. Price was not bad compared to other hotels but for what we got I'd rather pay more to stay somewhere that was nice. Elevator is shaped like an old coffin and almost got stuck - going just from the first to third floor (there is... more

My husband and I got this room for the night. Because, we were going to lions preseason game, and gamble afterwards. We checked in, went to our room, five minutes later power went out. My husband called to the front desk and we were upgraded in minutes. Very nice girl at front desk. The room was nicer but, the airconditioner... more

Went down for the Kid Rock Concert. It is 3 blocks from Comerica park. Everything from the staff to the room was wonderful. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was great also. Would definately recommend it. more

The Milner is the oldest continuously operated hotel in Detroit. It is old, but clean and freshly painted. No bugs, crumbs or smells. You can't beat the proximity to Comerica, Ford Field, the Opera House, the people mover, Cheli's and the Fox. We went for the fireworks and Cubs/Tigers game and downtown was packed. We watched the traffic jam outside... more

The hotel is old, but sweet. You feel as though you matter here. The staff is friendly. Some of the rooms are falsly advertised but they are all great. We had 6 rooms and no one was displeased with the turnout. We each had different rooms and one of us had a large suite. It was cute and cozy as... more

the hotel was great. yes as others say it, it was old and needs updating, but overall it was not bad. right down the road from Comerica and Ford Field, and right across from the Detroit Opera house. also the convience of being by the People Mover was great too. the room had cable tv and high speed internet was... more
