There are a few reasons I gave this hotel/casino a 4, both good and bad. I was only in the casino for 2 hours, and I didn't stay at the hotel, so I will only base this review on the casino itself. First the bad or not so good: - The casino wreaked of smoke, and I am not a... More

Sadly, Detroit id not the greatest city to visit these days and downtown looks to have taken a real hit over the past couple of decades. The surrounding areas of Detroit and the suburbs were lovely though and only a twenty minute cab ride from downtown. The hotel itself had very modern and comfortable rooms and the staff were very... This was my second stay at the MGM Casino/Hotel and I visit the casino a few times a year. The staffs are very friendly at the front desk and were more than willing to offer suggestions. The rooms are Vegas style. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud - super soft, many pillow options. The shower was the size... More

I had felt welcomed and appreciated during my entire stay. Everyone from the valet to the doorman to the front desk made me feel special. I also got a fabulous suite with luxurious furnishings and great bathrooms (2 in my room!) every night and refreshed items every morning. The gym and spa area is also the most beautiful I have... This is a first class hotel. The amenities are the best and every one of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after (and we are not celebrities). The room was extremely well appointed, Wolfgang Puck's restaurant was excellent (considering the barn of a room he had to contend with in making this... More

Stayed Saturday January 19th for my husbands birthday. Friendly staff from beginning to end. Beautiful hotel!! Room was spectacular, clean comfy bed, Hugh shower with television in bathroom. We normally stay at Greektown while were downtown but this time we decided to stay at MGM and this is by far the BEST decision ever!! No comparison I have no negatives... More

We were blown away! We arrived in the evening and it reminded us of arriving to a friends home. Lights were on and smiles on the faces of every employee as they greeted us at the door. The check in was seemless and we went to our room to drop off our bags. The entrance ways were spotless and when... More

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in November and loved it. We booked an executive suite. The casino was a separate area from the hotel. You could actually pull up to the hotel and not have to walk through the casino to get to the registration desk. Once you we checked in we had to pass security... More

Had tickets to Jersey Boys, came down early checked in, gambled a little went to an 8:00 show then back for dinner more gambling and spent the night. In the am has massages in the Spa. Great visit! I will definitley share with friends what a great time we had and that they should consider a visit to MGM Grand.
