Was hesitant on staying here while in town for a Tigers game but had a good experience. Yes, its outdated but they are working on updating the hotel as a whole. Would definitely stay here again. Can't beat the price & location!

1NJP, What better reason is there to come to Detroit than to see a Tigers game? We’re thrilled to hear it wasn’t the only thing you loved about your visit to the city—and that you enjoyed your stay with us too. We are working hard to renovate Corktown Hotel and make it even better for our guests, and we always... More

I paid extra for a newly remodeled. The VERY small room was unfinished: Paint splattered on walls...(SEE photos), no phone or clock, no decoration. A/C was blasting when I entered in an attempt to rid the room of paint smell. Although the smell was gone, the lingering fumes kept me awake ALL night. When checking out the desk person said... drummer5, While we are very excited about our newly remodeled rooms, we apologize if yours wasn’t yet finished. When they are, they’ll have a beautiful, contemporary urban décor, new flat screen TVs, phones and much more. Our hotel also offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a fitness center (coming soon), business center, guest laundry facility and secured gated parking with key access. We... More

Our room was dated but very clean. they are in the process of renovations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And for the price it was a Excellent value. It is a great location, close to all the downtown sites.

Stopped in Detroit to see a baseball game on our way to Chicago. Booked hotel online - low price gave us low expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, hotel is old, but it was friendly. Room was basic, but tidy. Bathroom was in good condition. No bugs seen. Kind of felt like a hostel. Liked the gated parking and... More

My husband and I visited this hotel on the night of June 27th to go to Comerica park the next day. The hotel is dingy and old on the outside and you should expect the same for your room. The receptionist working was behind bullet proof glass (already a bad sign) and the lobby smelled like mildew and cigarettes. We... More

Caseyelliott718, Corktown strives to be a welcoming presence in any surrounding, and we take pride in our up-and-coming neighborhood, surrounded by a vibrant music, dining, and nightlife scene. We’re biased, but we think you chose a perfect hotel for visiting Comerica Park during your stay. Our downtown hotel is also minutes away from Ford Field, Cobo Center, Greektown and many... More

Shocking hotel worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in hundreds world wide. Stay for 1 night in June as we were passing through. Very bad area of Detroit. Had to be buzzed into reception and spoke to receptionist through 2inch of bullet proof glass. Smelly graffiti stain room. Stay away save your money.

Lee P, We love nothing more than to see our guests have a fantastic stay at Corktown Hotel, but we’re sorry if this was not your experience. Great things are happening in all of Detroit’s neighborhoods, and great things are happening at the Corktown too. We stayed in one of the newly remodeled and redecorated rooms - it was modern and beautiful. Yes, the exterior, the lobby and hallways are dated - I hope they are in line to be remodeled, as well. The room was clean and well appointed. Suggestions for would be: little coffee makers in the rooms, a full-length mirror would be... More

As I said in my last review about how was the booking process, here I am to say somethings about the hotel itself. At first sight the hotel seems to be old and you may feel scary about the thick glasses at the reception, but it´s only impression. About the glass, it´s Detroit we´re talking about, so safety should be... More

Staying at the Courthouse Hotel made our trip! The decor was magnificent and the service outstanding. Our room had a modern yet nostalgic ambience. The hotel is conveniently located near the heart of downtown Detroit and a very short distance from Detroit 3 gaming casinos. I would highly recommend the Corktown Hotel everyone!
