My husband and I visited this hotel on the night of June 27th to go to Comerica park the next day. The hotel is dingy and old on the outside and you should expect the same for your room. The receptionist working was behind bullet proof glass (already a bad sign) and the lobby smelled like mildew and cigarettes. We... More

Caseyelliott718, Corktown strives to be a welcoming presence in any surrounding, and we take pride in our up-and-coming neighborhood, surrounded by a vibrant music, dining, and nightlife scene. We’re biased, but we think you chose a perfect hotel for visiting Comerica Park during your stay. Our downtown hotel is also minutes away from Ford Field, Cobo Center, Greektown and many... More

Shocking hotel worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in hundreds world wide. Stay for 1 night in June as we were passing through. Very bad area of Detroit. Had to be buzzed into reception and spoke to receptionist through 2inch of bullet proof glass. Smelly graffiti stain room. Stay away save your money.

Lee P, We love nothing more than to see our guests have a fantastic stay at Corktown Hotel, but we’re sorry if this was not your experience. Great things are happening in all of Detroit’s neighborhoods, and great things are happening at the Corktown too. We’re in the midst of a beautiful renovation, and we believe our stylish, new rooms... More

Worst stay ever!!!! The service was terrible they had bed bugs crawling all over the place and had the nerve to tell me I couldn't get a refund. This was the most Disrespectful and most disgusting place I ever stepped foot in!!! Plz don't waste your time, money, or health going to this trashy motel😡

Shelice R, We’re very sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay at Corktown Hotel. Our housekeeping does a great job making each room welcoming and clean for our guests, but we apologize if this was not your experience. Rest assured, we are taking your concerns very seriously. We stayed in one of the newly remodeled and redecorated rooms - it was modern and beautiful. Yes, the exterior, the lobby and hallways are dated - I hope they are in line to be remodeled, as well. The room was clean and well appointed. Suggestions for would be: little coffee makers in the rooms, a full-length mirror would be... More

Gail H., We love hearing that a guest is “pleasantly surprised” with our hotel, and we’re thrilled our newly remodeled rooms wowed you! Those rooms are just the beginning of many more renovations, and we can’t wait to have you back to show you our new look. Thank you for the great suggestions about our rooms. Your feedback is a... As I said in my last review about how was the booking process, here I am to say somethings about the hotel itself. At first sight the hotel seems to be old and you may feel scary about the thick glasses at the reception, but it´s only impression. About the glass, it´s Detroit we´re talking about, so safety should be... More

franciscocampos2015, We’re glad to hear we lived up to our promise, and that you fully enjoyed your stay! We’re biased, but we agree that our newly remodeled rooms are one of our best features and love knowing it impressed. Anytime we can help a guest feel like “the boss” is a great day in our book! Staying at the Courthouse Hotel made our trip! The decor was magnificent and the service outstanding. Our room had a modern yet nostalgic ambience. The hotel is conveniently located near the heart of downtown Detroit and a very short distance from Detroit 3 gaming casinos. I would highly recommend the Corktown Hotel everyone!

Awww, Detroit. I have seen you evolve and devolve over the past 14 years and last seven visits, only to see something new and beautiful evolve once again out of your ashes and urban decay. I knew you would come around again, so I saddled up and flew out for my favorite time of year, the Detroit Electronic Music Festival... More

We recently booked a room at this hotel through Expedia 6 weeks prior to our planned trip to Detroit. The confirmation email said 'Your reservation is booked. No need to call us to reconfirm this reservation.' This past week, just 10 days prior to our trip we called the hotel to ask some questions and discovered that we did not... More

This is exactly the kind of place one wants to succeed: family-owned, great location near downtown, safe, and most of all, employing the most helpful and friendly staff imaginable. It is true that having to be buzzed in and finding a receptionist behind Plexiglass is a tad off-putting, but this is Detroit on its way back up from scraping bottom.... More

This is the best choice in a budget hotel Downtown. They have gated, secure parking, there are restaurants nearby, you can walk to downtown. We got a renovated room and it was excellent. Some rooms are still being renovated and the elevators are very old, but we felt very safe and comfortable here as a couple. We used Uber to... More
