We booked a room at the Corktown Inn for New Year's Eve, and it was by far the most affordable option I could find. Everything was perfectly acceptable, thought there were some pretty noisy neighbors that inhibited sleep quality a bit.

It's not the Ritz, but if you use your hotel simply as a place to sleep and shower before/after you're out exploring the city, then you can't beat the Corktown Inn at the prices they charge. Spent three nights there while I was in town for the jazz festival, and am planning to do the same next year. Only complaints:... More
