This was our second visit to the Inn on Ferry Street. Our son lives in Detroit and when we visit him, this is where we stay. Love the renovations of the old houses; great gathering place in the main house (living room with papers, etc.), nice breakfast room with good food; complimentary shuttle is such a nice amenity. Love this... More

Wonderful time at the inn on ferry sftreet. An appartment for myself, very clean and cosy. Wonderful breakfast where we could make our own wafles! The hotel is composed of different historic houses. Perfect location to visit ccs!

We visited from Toronto, and , after a family visit in Windsor, spent three nights at the Inn. The primary purpose of our trip was to visit the Detroit Institute of Arts , which is a five minute walk from the Inn. The Inn is basically a bed and breakfast, spread over four historic restored mansions. We stayed on the... More

This place is really cute and the room was very nice. I was on the 3rd floor of the Pungs House, room 1303. I liked being on the 3rd floor but it's not good for carrying heavy luggage or if you have a hard time with stairs. The bathroom had a mold problem in the crevasse between the tile and... More

This historic Inn was great! The reviews are true. The rooms were very large. They had a free shuttle that will take you anywhere downtown. We took this to Masonic temple for a show and the driver left his card so we could get a ride back when it was over. The breakfast was great. This will be the place... More

I am in love with this place. I've stayed twice now and I will continue staying here whenever I come to Detroit. It is, as the pictures show, stunningly beautiful, and all the rooms I've seen are large, with big comfy beds and nice bathrooms. Classy furnishings with TVs hidden subtly in case you want to forget that you're in... More

Restored elegance one block from Detroit Institute of Arts hosted us and kids and grandkids while visiting the rest of the family for Thanksgiving. Husband enjoyed the room artwork. I love the rich wood trim everywhere. Kids and grandkids very impressed with self serve lavish breakfast. Best place we have found with easy access to downtown, airport and Grosse Pointe.

Was able to stay here for one night and had a fantastic time. The hotels are old, all probably built in the turn of the century and has various buildings along a street that all are used as individual small hotels / inns. You have the opportunity to stay in one of the main houses or in one of the... More

Comprised of a set of neighboring stately Victorian era sandstone and brick mansions, with the old world elegance of rich woods, tall windows, high ceilings, and magnificent staircases, the stay is more like that of a B-n-B, with the inherent advantages of a hotel. Our room (4201 at the Owens House) was well-appointed, with a turreted corner for the desk;... More
