We were in town to see the Diego Rivera/Frida Kahlo exhibit at the DIA (which is only about a block away from the inn). Booked a 2nd floor suite in the Roehm house and it was gorgeous as was the Scott house where you check-in and eat breakfast. Loved the history and details of the buildings. Service was great, room... So happy with room, location, service. Turn of the century charm with modern plumbing. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff was wonderful. Shuttle driver, Brent was so nice!! Will definitely stay again when in the area!

My wife and I just spent a night at the Inn on Ferry Street in Midtown in Detroit. The establishment consists of three meticulously restored historic homes and two side carriage houses on the block. There is adequate and safe parking in the backyards of the Inn. We stayed in a carriage house facing the road John R. While I... More

Underlying Detroit's great heritage are a series of wonderful early 19th century houses. While many of them are in need of some repair, there is a little one block street near the Detroit Institute of Art and Wayne State called Ferry Street. The Inn is actually a series of restored Victorian mansions and carriage houses that make up a perfect... More

We stayed here for the second time while in town to work at Wayne State. The place is very convenient to the university. The property consists of renovated older, elegant homes. This visit my room was on the third floor - which was quite a climb, lugging two bags. (First visit, I had a first-floor room, which was nice -... More

My friend and I originally came to Detroit for the Movement music festival over Memorial Day weekend, but with the help of the Inn on Ferry Street we came to love Motor City for far more than a music festival. We waited a bit too late to book our hotel and the Inn on Ferry Street and the MGM Grand... More

You can feel the rich history of this great city inside the Inn on Ferry Street. The four beautifully-restored Victorian style homes and two carriage houses will take you back in time when the city was the center of the automotive start-ups. You will be within walking distance of the amazing Detroit Institute of Arts, the Detroit Historical Museum (free... More

My fiance and I have stayed at the Inn on Ferry Street on two separate occasions. Both times we were in town to see the Red Wings play and both are stays were fantastic!!! We utilized the free shuttle service to get to and from the game. The second time we stayed, the roads were horrible and I worried that... More

On a whim, a friend and I decided to drive up for a Tigers game and to see a bit of the city. Inn on Ferry had more reasonable rates than any of the big chains, even with our loyalty points, so we decided to give it a try. The hotel was lovely. Comfortable rooms, cozy public spaces, a lending... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn on Ferry Street after not having stayed there in awhile. It really is one of kind. A cool grouping of historic homes right by the DIA. Within walking distance of Wayne State. Nice breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. We had stayed at the Inn a couple of other times awhile back.... More
