Have just had a 4 day stay at the hotel and can't praise the hotel and staff enough. Many thanks to Stephanie for arranging our room (2103) and Courtney for her advice on restaurants etc. All the reviews I have read on all travel sites had only good words about the hotel and I would like to add mine too.... more

I'm a Detroiter (I live only a block away from the Inn on Ferry Street), but that doesn't mean I'd ever turn down a chance to stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast. I've stayed twice, and been nothing but impressed each time. Here's why: 1. Free rides anywhere within 5 miles...this will get you downtown to the stadiums, the... more

This is an excellent place to stay. The location is right next to the Detroit Institute of Art, and is on a quiet street. The rooms are very large, very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is helpful and efficient. The breakfasts are excellent with lots of fresh fruit, muffins, waffles, coffee and fruit juices. The complimentary driver service within... more

We stayed in the Roehm Room- it has it's own balcony- and the room was cozy and beautiful. The service at the Inn on Ferry is GREAT- staff is friendly and knowledgeable- we felt welcome right away. The shuttle is terrific! Breakfast is served buffet style and is delicious. We will return. more

I STRONGLY recommend this hotel. For Detroit, it is in a great location (especially if you want to go to any festivals). It is unique, clean, and historic. The rooms are smaller, in a more European fashion, but aesthetically pleasing. There are about four of the old mansions with the rooms converted over for visitors. The main floors of the... more

I have to be honest, I'm always wary of inns and cottages. But my wife convinced me to try this out. It was only for two days so I reluctantly agreed. When I walked in, I was very surprised. This place is like a house. Very comfortable, nice and very well maintained. It was a nice change from the crappy... more

The hotel consists of 3 large 1890-1910 style mansions that have been turned into a non-smoking, boutique style hotel catering to adults. We were pleasantly welcomed and checked in by Dominique. Our room was in the Pung House over the front door. Neat and well presented on entry with one queen bed. Quiet building and area though I would not... more

I was at the Inn on Ferry Street for a workshop at Wayne State. Located directly across the street it was a perfect location. The service was EXCELLENT. The staff was so accomodating and helpful. One of my window locks was broken (I was on first floor) and within a few hours they had fixed it. Also, two weeks later... more

The Inn on Ferry Street, in the Cultural Center of Detroit on the cusp of Brush Park, is delightful. The collection of four mansions and two carraige houses from the late 1800s gives you a good idea of what Detroit was like around the turn of last century. My room, in the Owen House, was extremely comfortable, clean, and totally... more
