Perfect location if you're heading out to any sports event & close to Greek Town Nice, clean room with comfortable beds. Surprised to see ripped bed linen and no free wifi considering the price. Quick check in with pleasant staff. 18$ for overnight parking

If you are lucky enough to get a premium view room, it is one of the best views I have had from a hotel room (could be looking at another tower if not). The rooms are average/small, thin walls, no breakfast, and pricey, the room is nothing special. It will take you a while to learn how to get around... More

Hello ElizLv and thank you not only for staying with us, but also for putting the time into your thorough review. We too believe our views to be quite spectacular and as for your disappointment with the room itself, we offer some great news. Said news is that we are currently in the midst of a massive $30M renovation of... More

We went up to the Marriott at the Renaissance Center over Thanksgiving Day weekend to see the Lions and Packers game. The hotel was a little pricey but that's what you would expect during a holiday weekend. The view was phenomenal overlooking Windsor, the room was on the large side, it was newly renovated, and it was very nice inside.... More

The renovated rooms are really nice, but if you are in the unrenovated area, you may be stuck in a room where you can not only easily hear people in the hallway, but the people next door. The gym is very nice and the staff at the front desk is excellent. You may have to remind the maid to give... More

As others have stated, it is a little difficult to get your bearings as the Marriott and Ren Cen are huge...the elevators aren't quite where you would expect them to be - the different banks going to the rooms vs. the ground floor can be difficult to find at first. The hotel is also a little pricy. That all being... More

Stayed in Detroit for one night for a concert at Joe Louis Arena. Great hotel within walking distance to the arena or a quick trip on the People Mover. Nice, newly renovated rooms, clean rooms with good views. For the money you really can't beat it. Word to the wise: If you're out late/early - Eat before 3:00am. Nothing delivers... More

This Complex is Gigantic. A bit complicated to manuver until you get the hang of it. It may take a couple if days to acclimate. The Marriott Renaissance is a very pricey hotel. It is massive in size. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The views are outstanding. The two restaurants are excellent. One being "The Volt" downstairs, and... More

We visit Detroit about once a year, and always stay here. The service is exceptional and personal, and we always feel welcome. We asked for, and got, rooms with wonderful river views. The rooms are all being renovated at the moment, and we got new ones. They were very comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. The only odd thing was that the... More

this was the worst time I have ever had at this particular Marriott. to start off we stayed on the 30th floor, and 90% of the rooms never got cleaned, nor did they leave any clean towels. I have traveled all over the U.S and stayed at Marriott. I called downstairs and asked if the room was going to be... More

We stayed here due to dance competition/convention. Room was decent and I see they're renovating. We got a room that was not updated but the people we were traveling with had an updated room. Much nicer than ours. Views from rooms really nice. No pool. Not really a deal breaker for me but when you're traveling with kids it's what... More
