My husband and I stayed one night on the 27th of Aug for a concert in town. Up on arrival to our room after waiting over 30 min to check in we found soiled sheets with a oder. Phoned down to housekeeping and they said they would send someone up right away. We waited over a half hour and still... More

My wife and I stayed at this Marriott overnight while in town for a concert at Comerica Park. We had a King Bed room on the 21st floor facing the river. The room was nice, clean, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of room to maneuver around the room without tripping over luggage and coolers. The staff was helpful... More

I stayed here for a business trip, I read several reviews that made me concern so I was apprehensive. But it was extremely enjoyable. The reception desk was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and modern. My room on the 48th floor had a great water view and Canada. The security measures that the hotel uses made me... More

We live just outside of Detroit so anytime we are in town for a big even like a work party, I we can get a sitter, this is where we like to stay! It's in a GREAT area! The river walk is just outside the door. Andiamo, the restaurant is just down stairs. The Volt bar is low key but... More

The main lobby is the place to be. The staff is very friendly and the hotel overall is very, very clean and beautiful. They have a great bar right when you walk into the main lobby that overlooks Detroit City. Drinks are a little pricey. More so than usual but the difference is if you want to feel safe, clean... Had a really nice time. Rooms were clean and very cozy. Bed was excellent! Great room service and we will be back. The Detroit River view from our room was wonderful and we were on the 50th floor. I will let everyone know and recommend that they stay there .

Stayed five nights for a convention on the property. Excellent experience throughout. Staff from valet parking on arrival to front desk on checkout were professional, friendly and welcoming. Rooms are arranged around the central tower and so are wedge-shaped which results in a somewhat smaller bathroom than most hotels. Hotel is being renovated starting with the upper floors. If possible,... More

Hard to believe this is a Marriott, the service and layout is so bad. Checking in late afternoon on a Thursday - no room ready, the front desk kept insisting that no room was available! Around 4:30, my husband had to insist on seeing a manager who somehow drummed up a room. The hotel is very large and a confusing... More

TV did not work, although promptly repaired. Phone handset broken and could not be connected. Three towels and three pillows...a little "thin" for a king room. Gold status, but no bottled water and no mini bar

The hotel is housed in General Motor's headquarter towers which was built in 1977; the cement architecture style has been called "high brutalism" which gives you a hint of how you will be treated here. We were supposed to get wireless internet included as part of our convention package room rate. We were told to just sign up for the... More
