This Hotel has changed hand a few times over the years; the renovations have improved this hotel. The rooms are "quaint", most do not have a mini bar, there is restaurant on the lower level and the outside space is beautiful and a great place to walk or relax or have a romantic date in the evening off the water.... We had our first annual family reunion dinner at this hotel Saturday August 23rd. Upon pulling in, we encountered a very long wait for a very rude valet. I don't think this hotel is ADA compliant because on walking into the front doors there are stairs so it was difficult for my mom who has a walker and myself who... More

We (8 21-30 years old group of both me and women) spent one night here and it was overall a good experience. I was a bit apprehensive of staying here after reading recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a good location. The neighborhood was good. We had two rooms, both were clean and comfortable. The rooms... More

We spend a night here with my family on Aug. 13, 2014 the room is oldies but very nice. One thing, I don't like about this hotel is one of the staff lady "she is black" I forgot her name but she was really rude when we asked her some questions (in person/phone) she doesn't even want to listen and... I made my plans for my August trip to Detroit and was once again spoiled by the amazing staff at the Roberts Riverwalk Hotel. From making the reservations ------ to my final good-bye they were so very helpful. Received a very warm welcome when I arrived -- a very speedy check-in -- followed by housekeeping checking to insure everything in... More

The front desk made several mistakes while reserving rooms for a wedding I recently attended. They lost the reservations for our room as well as several of our friends. The receptionist said "I do apologize" over and over but lacked sincerity, hustle, and acted as though we were bothering her. She scoffed at us for not having a confirmation number,... More

Overall this hotel has great potential to be a romantic getaway spot, unfortunately it fails to shine through in its current state. This hotel is housed in a historical building that used to be part of Parke Davis pharmaceuticals research labs. In its previous incarnation it was an Omni hotel and I think they were the ones who originally gutted... More

As stated in my title review this hotel could be a "gem" if managed correctly. My husband and I stayed at this hotel 9years ago on our Honeymoon night, it was charming, lovely and romantic. Decided to spend our 9th honeymoon here as well. Ugh! Why didn't I review before we reserved? Hotel is awful! Upon entering our room, no... More

This hotel needs serious work in maintenance and customer service. Door knobs were hanging off; several people got stuck in the bathroom and could not get out. One couple left because the lock on their room was broken and never fixed. The facility was overbooked. The response to their concern was rude and arrogant. Other room reservations were lost. The... Let's start off by saying the review below me by Jordan6022? Nailed it. We had almost the exact same experience last weekend also there for a wedding so just know, that review is SPOT. ON. Here's my top points: Pros: - large rooms, tall ceilings / windows - beautiful room (IF you are on the river side) and thats it.... More
