The hotel has so much potential! I'm all about supporting black owned businesses and so we did. The room was clean... There was also a large basketball tournament in town so all rooms were sold out. We didn't have enough towels, the toilet broke and the front desk staff rushed us out despite us being held up due to the... More

Over priced in need of updates and better customer service. Don't check in on Fridays after 6. You may not ever get a room. Unattended front lobby (desk) crappy room, broken sink and shower and that's after a room change! Iace machines don't work in old utility closets! Booked for two nights slept in a my clothing! Stained walls unfriendly... More

Took my husband to detroit to the motown museum for his bday and we stayed here. Upon arriving the hotel looks like an old factory building. The hotel has a lot of character that's the only way to describe it. It's not you regular chain hotel it's family owned. We were actually greeted by the owners, they sat at the... More

I made a reservation on 12/25 to stay at this hotel on 2/21 for an event that was close. Today 2/18 I was told they overbooked and they would not honor my reservation. Now I must scramble to find another place which now will cost me much more because I will require a taxis to drive me about 25 miles... More

Our stay was quick! The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The windows however were drafty. The room was cold!!! Couldn't get it fixed. They offered another room when I called for the third time..... I would stay again otherwise as location is nice.

This hotel is for people who want something a little different. It is unique, and while it may be a little shopworn, we felt very comfortable, safe, and cared for. The price was right, too. It reminds me of some of the boutique hotels we've stayed at in Italy and Ireland. It is a piece of urban Detroit history, with... More

This former Omni Hotel has dern better days, I am sure. Located along side the River with a view of Windsor on the Canadian side, this hotel was pretty quite when we stayed there. One or two staff member were present insuring surveillance and response to clients needs. Service was minimal, no restaurant for breakfast in the morning, bar was... More

I booked this hotel for the Detroit Auto Show in January and had the same scenario as another reviewer here—no heat in my room. With outside temperatures well below freezing, my room was just 48 F (9 C) when I arrived, and a ceiling panel was notably absent (showing signs they'd had problems already). A maintenance worker "reset" the system,... More

Looked for location close to Cobo for North America International Auto Show and Roberts Riverwalk appeared the closest and best option. Unfortunately, I ended up with a room without heat when outside temps were subfreezing! Luckily, I was moved to a penthouse suite and warmed up. Overall, the location and views are appropriate for summertime, not January snow season. Nice... More

We are local, but had an event and decided to stay at a hotel in the city rather than drive home after. We considered the MGM and Book Cadillac hotels, but this was half the price and on the waterfront. Plus, it was recently purchased and "renovated" by an entrepreneur, so I felt compelled to support his efforts. At least,... More
