I was a little turned off by our room especially for 80 dollars. It was nice to see copper harbor but we will definitely not go back. We had our 2 year old with us and we didn't even want to take his socks and shoes off which was a huge fight considering he dislikes both. The bathroom door wouldn't... More

I realize this is a tiny town in the far north of the UP, and I wasn't expecting anything fancy in a motel, but I did expect better than this for $90 a night. I've stayed at better motels in bigger cities for less money. Within half an hour after getting into our room my husband asked if we should... More

First and foremost you need to remember where you are at. You are in a small at the end of the road U.P. town. If you are looking for granite vanity tops and flat screen T.V.s you are in the wrong place. I travel to Isle Royal just about every other year and always stay at King copper it is... More

We chose this place because of its proximity to the Isle Royale ferry. The price/convenience were nice---the view is great but you can't walk very far because of all the goose poop. We were next to the ice machine--which kept loud people coming most of the night. We were also next to some chain smokers who kept cigarette smoke coming... More

Great value and very clean. Decor is dated but that gives it charm. Room was spacious and the view was perfect. Fresh brewed coffee and baked goods right next door. Easy walk to restaurants. Very friendly.

I was planning to camp but it was really pouring down rain when i arrived in Copper Harbor so stayed here. My room was large, clean, very comfortable with windows on the waterfront and the price was surprisingly reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The people were very helpful and friendly. If you want a fancy place with all the... More

Thanks to all for helping out a stranded traveller. You made a possible disaster into an incredible trip. Going way out of the way to help out strangers on your doorstep. Hospitality! Copper Harbor really has some great people that live and work for the betterment of man.

I have to rate this one a 4 because of the view, old but clean and safe. Staff was friendly. We faced the water and the room was a little larger than a lot of older motels. We were in our last days of a two week family road trip with my special needs daughter and an 8 year old... More

A lot of reviewers are complaining about the sliding door not locking. 1) there's a stick which is better than a lock and 2) they must live in a place where you have to lock the house up just to go to the mailbox. If you want a fancy resort where you're pampered, this isn't for you. If you want... More

Simple, no frills motel at the very north end of the tip of the peninsula. The property is beautiful and the area is quiet, calming, and refreshing. Recommended for those who don't care for the best of modern ammenities, preferring instead simplicity and quietness.
