Built by the WPA. Last fully cleaned by them too. This fly infested musty old dump was not my cup of tea. The 2 bedroom cabin was told to us as the best accommodation. Not so much guys. Suffer a little and be closer to the lake. The rooms can't be any worse. No small fridge , no place for... More

The Keweenaw Mountain Lodge was built during the depression as part of the WPA. It remains the best place to stay if you are traveling to the tip of Michigan's Keweenaw peninsula. If you go, you must stay in one of the cabins. The log cabins are either one or two bedrooms and have fireplaces. There is a 3 bedroom... More

KML is a classic lodge located in some of the most beautiful country this United States has to offer! The two room cabin we stayed in was charming and adequate. If you're looking for five star accommodations I would suggest you plan on staying somewhere else. However, that is not a knock at the KML. The cabin was very clean,... More

Please note the "accessible" motel room we used had large spaces but lacked usable, practical grab bars in the bathroom if this is a need. There was a hand held shower device but the tub/ shower only had a small bar over the soap dish area for the tub. This room was a disappointment and near disaster for our needs.

Stayed here on a romantic getaway and had a wonderful stay. Cabins are neat and well maintained. They are duplex so you are sharing walls with a neighbor. Temperature controls really hard to work, our unit got really hot. Old main lodge was beautiful - made in the 1930s at part of the WPA projects. Beautiful looking golf course, views... More

Registered for one of the single bedroom cabins and was surprised it didn't include a refrigerator or any other kitchen appliances as most motel rooms in that area do. Basically you got a cabin with a living room (cable TV), bedroom and bathroom that was more than motel rooms in Copper Harbor. Yes it was clean (housekeeping service) and there... More

The Copper Harbor area is just gorgeous and the lodge is in a great location to enjoy everything. We stayed in a one bedroom cabin which was comfortable but fairly rustic. You really are in the woods and I loved the quiet and fresh air. On a clear night the stars and moon were spectacular. The furnishings had seen better... More

I stayed in a cabin at the Mountain Lodge for two nights (July 7 & 8) for a conference. The cabin was comfortable and cozy and suited me just fine. If you're looking for something fancy, a cabin's probably not the route for you. The conference was held in the lodge (small conference with about 20 attendees from across Michigan)... More

If you love the feel of log cabins, serenity and a wood burning fireplace..this is for you! The cabins are nestled in the woods and the lodge is a short walk up a trail. The golf course onsite adds to the make this a great place to stay..the view from the course is amazing( Brockway Mountain ) The service at... More

Got to the Lodge above Copper Harbor during our trip around Lake Superior. Checked into the front desk and was given a fly swatter without asking for one. The flys in the room and the lodge's dining room were horrendous. Apparently this happens every year for a month or so and we just happened to be there at the right... More
