My wife and I had tickets to a concert at DTE Music Theater (aka Pine Knob) earlier this week. We have moved farther away from DTE and we decided to find a hotel or B&B that's nearby and spend the night after the concert was over with. I did some checking around and came across the Millpond Inn. We have... More

This bed and breakfast is what all places should be. Joan and Buck provide a total package of comfort. The breakfast served is all handmade by Joan from the yogurts, smoothies. pastries and did I forget da Omlets. Located in a small village off I-75 it is close to alot of entertainment. I prefer going to Rudy"s for a cold... More

The Mill Pond Inn is a spectacular experience. Joan and Buck were welcoming from the minute we arrived and gave us their full attention even though the inn was full. We felt like we were home. The breakfasts were outstanding. Everything is homemade from scratch, coffee cakes, muffins, omelets and even the yogurt! The gardens are incredible with a water fountain... The Millpond Inn is by far the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Joan and Buck welcome you into their home and make you feel so comfortable. Their attention to detail is phenomenal. The homecooked breakfast was great! When we needed to leave earlier than breakfast could be served, Joan packed us a homemade breakfast to go!!... More

We were welcomed as though we were old friends! Room was spacious, clean, and comfy, and breakfast was outstanding! The only item NOT homemade was the sausage links! Even the 7-grain bread and yogurt flavored with real fruit were homemade! I had a 3-egg ham n cheese omelette, and hubby's was a 2-egg ham, cheese, and spinach omelette. We also... More

My husband and I stayed at the Millpond B&B twice. Once for my birthday (we rented all 5 rooms for our friends and they were all very happy to learn every bedroom has a private bathroom), and once last night because our power went out due to an ice storm. It was such a relief to be welcomed to this... More

While working in the Detroit area for an extended period of time, I was fortunate enough to stay at the Millpond Inn. Joan and Buck are very welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and Joan's breakfasts are not to be missed! The town is quaint and there are... We stumbled upon this little gem last night. On a whim we drove to Clarkston (from Dearborn) for dinner and decided to stay. I've not stayed in a B&B in quite a long time. Joan was so warm and welcoming. She knew this was an unplanned trip and offered us whatever we needed. The house/rooms are spotless and cozy. The... More

This was our first visit to the Millpond Inn and Joan and Buck made us feel like part of the family from the first minute we got there! We immediately felt at home. Couldn't think of one thing I would change about this place, it's perfect. From the close proximity to DTE and downtown Clarkston to the amazing breakfast. Not... More

Perfect place to stay for a DTE Concert. Have dinner a block away in Clarkston then 3 miles to the back entrance of the DTE like VIP. A simple place to catch some sleep before the drive home in the AM. Breakfast is 4 star home cooking, don't pass on the homemade yogurt! Joan and Buck are great hosts!
