We were welcomed as though we were old friends! Room was spacious, clean, and comfy, and breakfast was outstanding! The only item NOT homemade was the sausage links! Even the 7-grain bread and yogurt flavored with real fruit were homemade! I had a 3-egg ham n cheese omelette, and hubby's was a 2-egg ham, cheese, and spinach omelette. We also... More

My husband and I stayed at the Millpond B&B twice. Once for my birthday (we rented all 5 rooms for our friends and they were all very happy to learn every bedroom has a private bathroom), and once last night because our power went out due to an ice storm. It was such a relief to be welcomed to this... More

While working in the Detroit area for an extended period of time, I was fortunate enough to stay at the Millpond Inn. Joan and Buck are very welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and Joan's breakfasts are not to be missed! The town is quaint and there are... We stumbled upon this little gem last night. On a whim we drove to Clarkston (from Dearborn) for dinner and decided to stay. I've not stayed in a B&B in quite a long time. Joan was so warm and welcoming. She knew this was an unplanned trip and offered us whatever we needed. The house/rooms are spotless and cozy. The... More

This was our first visit to the Millpond Inn and Joan and Buck made us feel like part of the family from the first minute we got there! We immediately felt at home. Couldn't think of one thing I would change about this place, it's perfect. From the close proximity to DTE and downtown Clarkston to the amazing breakfast. Not... More

Perfect place to stay for a DTE Concert. Have dinner a block away in Clarkston then 3 miles to the back entrance of the DTE like VIP. A simple place to catch some sleep before the drive home in the AM. Breakfast is 4 star home cooking, don't pass on the homemade yogurt! Joan and Buck are great hosts!

The owners are extremely welcoming. From my first experience talking on the phone to book the room, to the way she makes you feel you are the only guest there is just amazing. The biggest highlight was the breakfast. We have stayed in B&Bs across the US and Canada and this has to be in the top three. We were... More

Absolutely wonderful people with an even BETTER place. Beautiful setting, nice rooms, gourmet breakfast and is located just outside the center of Clarkstons downtown and easily within walking distance. Joan and Buck do a first class job and treat you like they have known you forever. Very reasonable priced and they can help you with all of your questions or... More

I travel all over Michigan all year long on business and have just experienced my first B & B experience. Millpond Inn is a wonderful break from the impersonal, plain tan box hotels with their cardboard continental breakfasts. Joan welcomed me like family and showed me the ropes around their charming B & B. The gardens are beautiful.....Joan even gave... More
