I was looking for lodging that was near Pinckney (visiting family) and the Purple Rose Theatre. This is THE perfect location and I am so very glad I chose the Chelsea House. Jim and Kim are so considerate and think of everything. The attention to detail from the push button light switches to the light fixtures and the skeleton keys... More

Drawn to Chelsea because it was only 40 minutes from Detroit Metro airport but found it to be an amazing town with THE BEST BED & BREAKFAST - The Chelsea House. Our accommodations were 5 star, as well as the service and breakfast. The staff was so friendly and genuinely committed to making sure all of our needs were met.... More

We are thrilled that you had such a good time and that you'd like to spend more time here in town. You would have loved the Chelsea House Orchestra on our "Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights" event the week after you were here. The orchestra plays lots of great Celtic Music and the kids and parents were dancing just... More

We stayed here while visiting Chelsea for a performance at that Purple Rose Theatre. It's the perfect location; within easy walking distance of both the theater and restaurants and the inn keepers were more than helpful in answering questions and helping to arrange details. Then our stay at the Chelsea House was an joy in itself. The house is beautifully... More

Spent an absolutely lovely three day get-away celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary at the Chelsea House Victorian Inn, and had an absolutely fabulous experience. Gourmet breakfasts, impeccable accommodations, beauty throughout. Within walking distance of arts organizations including the Purple Rose Theatre, a variety of specialty shops and dining any foodie would love. We highly recommend the Chelsea House Victorian Inn!

Fantastic stay at this bed and breakfast. The house is fully renovated Victorian style. The owners spend years and years in rebuilding this house to its finest details. They are great guys, take great care of you. Breakfast is the best I ever had, two courses will fill you up for the day.

We thank you for your kindness. Reviewing your stay at our little Bed and Breakfast is very helpful to others who are deciding between a chain hotel and Chelsea House. It also helps us continue to attract guests and sustain the level of care this historic home deserves with all its unique details. Without our guests and their kind acts,... More

Excellent from start to finish. Beautiful, old house close to town. Crepes as starter course each morning followed by casserole-style main course dishes. Each one delicious. Room was very inviting with comfortable chairs, period furniture, many decorative touches. Hosts Jim and Kim are warm and welcoming. Our second visit.

What a nice surprise we were in for when we stopped at here on our way to Detroit! Thankfully my hubby agreed too since the Inn was not all country kitchy, fluffy foofy, girly, and pink with lace-so we stayed! The close proximity allowed us plenty of time to enjoy breakfast before heading out in the morning with no need... More

Kim and I want to thank you for your kind words and comments regarding our Inn and our town. Kim particularly laughed out loud with when your husband characterized our B&B as not too: "country kitchy, fluffy foofy, girly, and pink with lace-so we stayed!" He nailed what we are after: balanced charm without all over the top phroo phroo.... More

I was in Chelsea on some wonderful but exhausting business (visiting author to several hundred six through eight year olds) so I needed real downtime when I was not working. Jim was very thoughtful about making sure I had everything I needed from an extra heater to ward off the unseasonably cold temps to fridge storage for my leftovers and... More

Thank you for taking time to give your feedback to others, despite your own travel fatigue. We are always honored to have authors stay with us when they are here for the purpose of enriching the community and to specifically give our children encouragement to read and personalize their exposure to authors every spring. A beautiful, lovingly restored historic home shared with us lucky guests. Cozy fires in the fireplaces and cushy luxurious beds. A charming town with terrific restaurants all within walking distance...and it sounds like I MUST see a play at the Purple Rose! Jim is a charming and accommodating host. And I need to mention the yummy breakfast and the fruit... More

I have to concur with all the good reports. Second time here, great hosts, basically next door to the Purple Rose, and everything downtown Chelsea. Recommend you call them first, before you call the restaurant, the Purple Rose, etc. I did it the hard way the first time, they can help put it all together for you. Last call the... More

You are a great Trip Advisor user!!! Thanks for our review, but also sharing how we are uniquely right next to all the good food & theatre plus, we are ready to be your "Concierge" putting it all together. Your suggestion about calling on the way here was genius: it does help guests with information like, where to park and... More
