We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is under new management but is still the same quality experience as in the past. I appreciate the comfortable beds and how quiet the rooms are. We were there during the busy Venishin festival, but still did not hear one noice in the hallway. We got a restful nights sleep. The... More

The carpet was dirty, Sheets were very thin. The coffee and tea water were tepid at best. The breakfast selection was limited. For the price we paid for this room the overall experience was not good. To top that corporate policy makes you opted out of a $1.safe used charge.

we booked this Hotel at the recommendation of the organizer of the Keweenaw Excursions tours, before our 4 day Light House tour on the Great Lakes. Very good suggestion and very nice accommodations. Additionally having a secure place to leave our vehicle was very nice.

1.) The front desk clerk was not fully awake / coherent. 2.) There were dogs barking in the hotel 3.) Our beds BOTH were super squeaky / noisy. I let the front desk clerk know. He didn't appear to care. 4.) Someone kept banging on our door at 2:00am (not the hotels' fault)

Slightly inflated rates for an average hotel. Staff took a LONG time to get to desk and check us in. Pool area HEAVILY chlorinated. But, overall a nice little area. Breakfast was nice, but there are too few tables/seats. A nice hotel, but nothing that sets them apart from any other, aside from the nice location in regards to the... More

The only nice part of this hotel was the pool. The hotel lobby was under construction and smelled of strong glue, chemicals and cigarette smoke from the construction workers. The carpet should have been replaced a long time ago. It was smelly and bunching up everywhere. It would have nice to know ahead of time that the hotel would be... More

Visited the area with husband and our dog. Our dog is mature and easy to travel with. The room was very clean and we were given a room near the door for easy walking the dog. It worked out perfect. The front desk staff helped us find just the beach to hang out with our dog.A nice surprise. Will definitely... More

This AmericInn, at Charlevoix, is better than the one in Traverse City. It is newer, everything is in working order, clean, well kept, and somewhat out of the way of most crowds. The kids had a blast in their pool, and really liked it here (as well as the rest of the family).
