I've stayed here 4-5 times over the last couple years and have always been satisfied. I first chose it because it was close to where I needed to be, but later realized that it would be a better alternative than the Houghton chains for parents who want to be close to Michigan Tech: lower prices, MUCH friendlier and more attentive... This is a great place to stay if you are flying the charter service to Isle Royale, as it is no more than a mile from the airport. The new owners, Mitch and Tina, are very personable hosts, and are willing to go our of their way to give you great service (example: They delivered my wife and I to... More

Every year for the past few years my grandma, cousins and I stay there and it is usually a very nice stay but this time it wasn't so. The owners whent away for the weekend and left their 18 year old son in charge of the place and he wasn't very helpful. I have never stayed at a place where... More

We were exploring the U.P. on our vacation and wanted to stay at local places, avoiding the chains. We had already stayed at a couple that were ok, they were clean enough but kinda old. Then we came upon the Arcadian Inn by chance and were so pleasantly surprised and impressed. This place surpassed the others by far. Clean, newer,... More

Quaint, clean, and very reasonably priced. We did not arrive until after midnight & the light was on inside and outside our room with the key placed inside. Nice coffee and breakfast items available to us in the office which were very appreciated. The outside is nicely decorated with lovely flowers and chairs outside our room.

This place was a great value. The hosts were very accommodating. They let me store my pedal bike inside before the room was ready as we were going out site seeing. The breakfast was terrific for a continental breakfast (hard boiled organic eggs, breakfast sandwiches to be warmed up, fruit, yogurt, muffins). The rooms were very clean. I would stay... More

This place wasn't my first choice, but it was a Holiday weekend and I had been striking out because I had no reservations. I was tired and needed to rest. I would have paid twice what they asked for and I think they know they could have charged more. They have a small office where they leave out coffee and... More

This is an older, clean, well maintained, single story, reasonably priced, drive-up motel. The major theme for my review is: owners Bill and Barb are very friendly, helpful, and hospitable. Ask them about their kids and grandkids, and if you have questions about the Keweenaw Pennisula, they have the answers. Also, I think, if you'd ask nicely, they might be... More

Nothing fancy here--just a nice, clean room right on highway 41 near the airport. Everything works and is well-maintained. The owners are friendly and helpful. Despite being close to the highway, the rooms are nice and quiet. And you can't beat the value!

We've stayed here several times. The owner is always very nice. The rooms are clean and cheap. The only thing I disliked was the comfort of the beds. If you have a bad back, this is not the motel for you. If your back is strong, go ahead. Good value for the price.
