We were exploring the U.P. on our vacation and wanted to stay at local places, avoiding the chains. We had already stayed at a couple that were ok, they were clean enough but kinda old. Then we came upon the Arcadian Inn by chance and were so pleasantly surprised and impressed. This place surpassed the others by far. Clean, newer,... More

Quaint, clean, and very reasonably priced. We did not arrive until after midnight & the light was on inside and outside our room with the key placed inside. Nice coffee and breakfast items available to us in the office which were very appreciated. The outside is nicely decorated with lovely flowers and chairs outside our room.

This place was a great value. The hosts were very accommodating. They let me store my pedal bike inside before the room was ready as we were going out site seeing. The breakfast was terrific for a continental breakfast (hard boiled organic eggs, breakfast sandwiches to be warmed up, fruit, yogurt, muffins). The rooms were very clean. I would stay... More

This place wasn't my first choice, but it was a Holiday weekend and I had been striking out because I had no reservations. I was tired and needed to rest. I would have paid twice what they asked for and I think they know they could have charged more. They have a small office where they leave out coffee and... More

This is an older, clean, well maintained, single story, reasonably priced, drive-up motel. The major theme for my review is: owners Bill and Barb are very friendly, helpful, and hospitable. Ask them about their kids and grandkids, and if you have questions about the Keweenaw Pennisula, they have the answers. Also, I think, if you'd ask nicely, they might be... More

Nothing fancy here--just a nice, clean room right on highway 41 near the airport. Everything works and is well-maintained. The owners are friendly and helpful. Despite being close to the highway, the rooms are nice and quiet. And you can't beat the value!

We've stayed here several times. The owner is always very nice. The rooms are clean and cheap. The only thing I disliked was the comfort of the beds. If you have a bad back, this is not the motel for you. If your back is strong, go ahead. Good value for the price.

Stayed one night prior to catching flight out of Isle Royale. We arrived late, and the owner was accomodating to leave the key in the room, which is unlike other area motels. The owner stayed up meet me anyways. No frills place with the cheapest rates you can find. Clean room.

If you keep driving past the town you'll come across the Arcadian Motel. Much more affordable than a room in the busy town and close enough to town that it's still convenient. It's right off the highway but far enough back so the traffic at night doesn't disturb your sleep! The owners Grandson checked us in when we arrived late... More

Upon arrival, one of the extended stay intoxicated construction workers called my wife a "white trash biker". Luckily I was not there and she did not tell me about it until later. On vacation with friends. Sitting on front lawn enjoying the nice weather in the "early" evening, talking, laughing and just having a relaxed, good time. Owner came out... More
