My sons and I take a couple of ski weekends each year. Blue Mountain in Canada is about a 5-6 hour drive, while we can get up to Boyne in just under 4 hours. We last stayed on their property about 4 years ago, and had an underwhelming experience, so lately have just gotten a room at a local Hampton... More

Checked into the Mountain Grand Lodge on a Friday evening. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Common areas as well as the room were clean and very well kept. Other than the resort amenities, a short 20 minute drive to Petoskey offered a few more things to do.

Beautiful location! My room in the main lodge was exceptional with a whirlpool tub, kitchenette and fireplace. And very clean! Staff members were gracious and responsive. Food provided for the conference attendees was good. Off season rates were very reasonable.

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon,The wonderful woman who checked us in was pleasant and fun! made our reservations over the phone, due to problems with their website I was experiencing. The reservations were messed up,so our check in person had to handle damage control for another's persons mistake, but she quickly fixed the mistake and upgraded us with a smile on her face,she... We apologize that the locker room cleanliness was substandard during your visit to the waterpark. As the Waterpark Director, I take these matters very seriously. I would very much like to speak with you personally about your experience so that I can have a better understanding of the issue and correct it going forward. If you wouldn’t mind contacting me... I was part of the planning committee for a statewide conference held here. The good = the staff really bend over backwards to help make it a good event, we had no major issues with room bookings. The less-than-stellar = there was no coffee station in the lobby for attendees to grab a free coffee in the morning on the... More

The resort has everything, it is a self-contained village. I have been here for business twice, and with my family once. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are nice. The grounds are gorgeous. This is a huge complex, and there is plenty to do in any of the four seasons.

We booked an overnight at Boyne Mountain to enjoy their late night Zip line of Terror (recommended!) over the Halloween festivities. While a bit pricey (but might be of good value with kids) and it didn’t include breakfast, it’s a good choice to stay on property as we didn’t finish the Zip until nearly 11pm. Our room at the Boynehof... More

Boyne Mountain is my favorite non-Big Mountain Ski area. It's about a 10 hour drive from St. Louis and well worth the trip. The slopes are much bigger and challenging than say a Hidden Valley, and it doesn't take a 20 hour drive to get there. As for the pricing, while I admit that it is not bargain basement skiing,... For this wanting the quick review - If you are looking for an overpriced resort stay for your upcoming fraternity outing, this is the resort for you. If you are looking for relaxing or family oriented stay, we would suggest looking elsewhere. We arrived at the resort during the height of Northern Michigan's fall color and were ecstatic at the... This place is nice. We have been up twice now and stayed in only the one bedroom. It had a fireplace, king bed, decent size bathroom and good size living room. We shared the building itself with another couple and their kids but we didn't have any noise that kept us up. It is only a short bus ride over... More
