The front desk gal was very accommodating to special needs. We were surprised with this lodge on Boyne property though. When we walked into the room it smelled and felt damp. The air conditioner was on full and it was freezing in the room. We called the front desk and were told it needed to be shut off completely -... More

This lodge is one of the most reasonably priced places on the resort. It is not fancy but nothing beats the convenience of staying in the resort. We took the ski and stay package which included lift tickets and breakfast (awesome buffet) at the clock tower. It was well worth it and would definately stay here again.

We stayed at the Edelweiss Lodge for 4 nights over Labor Day. We knew this was Boyne Mountain Resort's more economical lodge, but that does not excuse the condition of the building. In the hallway, some of the wall lights were missing light bulbs and others were burned out. The room reminded me of an 80's college dorm. The furniture... More

If you are looking for a 5 star room/hotel, stay elsewhere. This is, as advertised, the oldest hotel on the property. But with that being said, it is a very nice, old school ski lodge accomodation. Room was clean and altohough small, roomy. We had a two queen room for our family of 4 (kids 8 and 6) Booking the... More

Firstly, when booking our room on line, it stated that nothing at all was available for a 2 day stay. Apparently the online booking is setup to only allow a 3 nights stay on "busy weekends" So after an hour of wasting my time, I called the general lodging number for Boyne and they said that Edelweiss had plenty of... My sister and I had a spa getaway at Boyne Mountain last weekend. It was wonderful! We booked a room at the Edelweiss Lodge and our room was clean, cute, and comfortable, with a great view. The spa was luxurious, and we loved the complimentary activities offered by the resort - we took the free scenic chairlift ride and used... More

My spouse and I decided to make a trip to Michigan for a friends wedding. Boyne Resort was the suggested hotel for the event. We reviewed Edelweiss Lodge pictures and booked a room online. Seemed like a clean BB type of room. Once checked in. We then saw the truth. Edelweiss is in serious disrepair and smells of mold. There... More

Purchased a weekend ski & stay package from Boyne's website. Booking was easy and the price was quite good. Edelweiss has the best location on the mountain. It is just uphill of the main high-speed chairlift, so it is literally ski-in, ski-out. In terms of location, it's even better than the Mountain Grand Lodge. There's nothing like popping in for...
