I'm surprised reading the other reviews, our stay was exceptionally pleasant. Yes, I found it odd to wash out evening coffee cups ourselves, but I simply left them in our room and they were taken by the housekeepers. Problem solved. Not my idea of a pampered night's stay. Didn't like to drink out of a coffee cup in the morning that another guest "washed" out after they used it the night before. Maybe you could buy more cups so that the guests wouldn't have to wash out their own cup. Not everyone has the same washing standards. Not very relaxing... more

The opportunity to stay in a lighthouse is one not to be missed,. Having said that however if you have ownership of such a great piece of history, you should maintain it and if you own a B&B you should have the personality we all have come to expect and love about staying at them. Spent 2 days at the Big Bay Lighthouse and was enthralled! Lovely and quaint rooms, bountiful full breakfasts and lots of info about area things to see from the keepers. Found them to be pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to go again. more

Great lighthouse bed & breakfast loaded with history. Comfortable rooms,welcoming and knowledgeable innkeepers. The grounds are lovely and well kept.
