The motel is clean and comfortable. Small things like not having an electrical outlet in the bathroom and being on a well travelled, noisy highway keep it from being rated higher...

The room was nice and clean. The staff was professional and helpful. For the money, this is a fine place to stay.

First time in the area stayed one night. The room, breakfast area and grounds were very clean and well kept. The owners were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Summer at Northwoods is one of our favorite things. My sisters and I have stayed here for years. This is a family owned place and this was our second time to stay here. We were in room 12 which had one bed, full bath with tub, microwave, frig, a/c, cable, wifi. we stayed 2 nights had room # 15- one queen bed, dorm fridge, microwave, tv, window air.. on 2nd floor. this reminds us of the mom and pop places we went to in the 60's. friendly staff--locals stay here, didn't try the breakfast but the pool was neat- 3 ft. deep and warm but we really liked the wetland area... This was our 3rd time staying while visiting beautiful Crystal Lake. The rooms have recently been updated. Clean pool and nice snack area. My only complaint is we had to let the shower run 5 min to get hot water. Otherwise, the place is great. We will be booking for next year!

I came here on vacations when I was a little girl and now bring my family here to vacation every year. The owners make you feel welcome as their parents did. The motel is kept up and very well kept. I look forward to being there every year.
