My husband and I really enjoyed our stay over the 2016 New Year Holiday. We booked the trip on New Year’s Day and were pleased to have been able to get in for the weekend for an impromptu romantic getaway. We happened upon the resort in the summer while vacationing with family nearby, and thought the place was so charming.... More

My wife and I spent a night at the Stonewater Inn. Check-in was smooth and personable. We had a room on the first floor, very comfortable. The queen size bed had a great mattress and pillows. The room was on the road side, but that wasn't a concern. It was a cold snowy day so we went to Shorts Brewpub... More

We came to Bellaire to celebrate Halloween at Short's! We stayed at our favorite place, Stone Waters Inn! The Inn was decorated from top to bottom! We've never seen Bellaire so alive with excitement for the trick or treaters getting ready to face the elements to fill their bags with candy. It was a treat to hang out with the... More

This was our first trip to Bellaire, Michigan and to the Stone Waters Inn. My husband and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and our two day stay was so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed for two nights in the Vineyard Suite and we loved our room and the inn. The room was clean and inviting and had everything... More

This is a wonderful Inn and our 3rd overall stay (2nd of this year). The Inn was decorated in a Fall Harvest/Halloween theme and looked wonderful. Our room is always clean and the staff very friendly and gives us great recommendations on local restaurants, things to do, etc. (We went to Torch Lake Cellers, a local winery which was beautiful... The Stone Waters Inn is a very quaint looking building from the outside or should I say facade. A website which sold me on it and a very long journey to get there hoping to enjoy the 9 nights we booked there. Our illusions were very quickly shattered when we were met with the hotel having thumping loud music you... More

As the new Owner of the Stone Waters Inn , I take great pride in the reputation , quality , and customer service of all our guests on a daily basis. Unfortunately, as hard as you try ,you can't please every guest, every time. I am forced to comment on the above guests review, simply because it contains glaring falsehoods... More

We loved this place! Very cozy and uniquely themed rooms. New owners have done a fantastic job updating this little gem and haven't missed a single detail!! Beautiful river directly behind the Inn (where I caught my first Speckled Trout ever!) and a cozy hot tub on the Tiki Torch lit deck in back. Dione (at the front desk) was... More

This was my first time staying in Bellaire and the Stone Waters Inn. Came to go to Short's Brewery and many friends had recommend we stay here. Wow were they right! The grounds of this place are beautiful with an outdoor hot tub, gazebo, and fire pits. They also have a corn hole game to play right on the river... More

Bellaire is one of my favorite places to visit in Michigan, and the Stone Waters Inn is a big part of why. Dionne is wonderful and does whatever she can to make her guests comfortable. The rooms are very cute, and each one has its own unique theme. I've stayed in the Vineyard Suite, the Garden Room, and the Lakes... More

I felt like Goldy Locks......someone had been sleeping in my bed!! I arrived to check in for my already reserved room at 11 p.m. and while searching the whole hotel for the clerk and a restroom, I accidentally walked in on two couples lounging, drinking beer, and watching TV. Finally, after going back to my car and calling, the clerk... More

As new owner, I apologize for your disappointing experience at our Inn. Unfortunately you left only a few minutes after walking thru the front door, therefore you never actually "stayed" at the Inn" and in turn, were never able to partake in Stone Waters Inn experience and realize that indeed the Stone Waters Inn , truly is "A Gem"! Unfortunately,... More
