Booked a room here because the plumbing had backed up in our cabin... would have rather stayed in the sewage!!! The room stunk, there was dirt & bugs in all the corners of the bathroom, and the towels had hair balls stuck to them. The "clean" sheets on our bed were SO disgusting we slept on our beach towels. there... More

Not all America's Best Value Inns are this bad. Some, in fact, are nice. This one is the worst I have ever visited. The rooms are grungy, smell, and if you don't like the first one they show you, expect worse in the next. Desk clerk operates from behind a security glass barrier probably as protection from dissatisfied patrons. Hotel grounds cluttered with debris. Room 136: Bed linens were stained and the bedspread (no blanket) was absolutely grotesque. We went to local dept store and bought our own sheets, pillows-cases and blanket (we needed extras at home). Luckily my wife brought bathroom cleaning supplies... More

This is a non-smoking property but my room smelled so strongly of smoke I could hardly breathe. After looking at the bathroom I decided I didn't need to shower. I also put down TP on the toilet seat before I'd sit on it. The clerk acted really inconvenienced that he had to check me in. There were people drinking in... More

I stayed at this inn while passing through Battle Creek. This is a rather old-fashioned motel and is showing its age, but everything was clean, everything worked and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. In the morning there was an adequate breakfast. This is a very ordinary place but perfectly acceptable for an overnight stop. It cost me $39.99 which I... More

We stayed 1 night and it was the most awful hotel I have ever stayed in. There was a hole drilled in the door to insert a "special tool" to open the door in case the card reader wasn't working. Any one could get into your room if you stepped out. They said they had the "big wigs" coming in... More

So today I have smokers cough. Not because I smoke, but because I smoked the equivalent of 3 packs in the 3 hours we stayed here. The smoke smell was so strong in the room that we stunk like smoke when we left. We stopped for a place to take a quick nap & shower. The floor of the tub... More

The first room stunk of stale smoke (this is a non-smoking property). The second room had a double bed - we reserved a queen. The tub needed cleaning. The room had a rundown look in general. There was garbage overflowing the trash can in the walkways (for 3 days). I guess you should look at the price you pay for... More
