My wife and I spent five nights at the Inn and had great weather....unseasonable warm... in the 70"s each day. We had a queen bed in the Carriage House. It was a small but comfortable room With TV and two chairs. I had requested a first floor room since I have some problems with stairs and my request was smoothly... More

We had booked two nights but only stayed for one. The Inn is creepy with no recent updates. The true age of the main house is no excuse, since there are many newer additions in total disrepair including the pool and veranda dining room. The innkeeper/owner begs for tips for his staff and brags about the mediocre food served at... More

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Service was excellent. Do not expect anything fast, new or fancy here, just drink in the funky history. We came to see the Edward Gorey house next door, but this was a real find.

Even though it was set in a large house and offered breakfast in the morning. I would hesitate to call it a B&B. Generally you have the family running the B&B. There were not any obvious short comings, but it is an older type of building. We were in a separate building from the main house. There were little envelops... More

Our stay at the Colonial House Inn was fantastic! We stayed there 3 days this fall, on our honeymoon. The Inn is very old, historic, and beautiful – exactly what we were looking for when we booked our stay there sight-unseen. Its’ central location on the Cape makes it easily accessible to anywhere you may want to go. Mac, the... More

I stayed at this inn the weekend of Sept 27-28, 2104, and was very pleased. Staying with Malcolm, the innkeeper, is like staying with a favorite uncle who will spoil you. The decor has that b & b charm, and the bed was so comfortable, I drifted off immediately (and I usually have trouble sleeping). The dinner menu had a... More

This is reasonable value for the cost. It was the only accommodation for the family that we could find on Cape Cod - on short notice, and we were glad to be able to settle here for the evening. The proprietor is charming and the kitchen service staff are nice people. The food is well prepared. Nonetheless, it must be... More

We booked this inn because of the daily rate including breakfast and dinner, and we were so glad we did. We were pleased with our room- a private bath and king bed. The decor is definitely vintage, but that only adds to the charm. The meals were delicious! The variety of entrees offered for dinner allowed us to have a... More

The hotel was remarkably quaint with a distinct air of faulty towers (fellow brits will understand). However our stay was remarkably enjoyable. If you're looking for a 'perfect' marriot-esque experience go elsewhere, but for a genuinely enjoyable experience and damn esquisite food, this place is ideal. The staff were wonderfully helpful and interesting and If I ever return to America,... More

If you are the fussy sort with a narrow definition of "perfection" who expects a sterile hotel/inn experience surrounded by same boring sort of travelers that can be found in any location, do not stay here. If you are willing to expand your horizons and experience something unique, you will love it here. The experience at the Colonial House Inn... More
