The food was outstanding. The rooms are a bit dated but that is to be expected in an old sea captain's house. The prices were very reasonable. It has a beautiful grassy area. The proprietor was training a young man from Russia and a young man from China the way to run an Inn in the USA.

Loved it. The main home where we stayed was built in the 1700's, so those of you expecting the Ritz or a Marriott for that matter stay elsewhere. If you want a charming stay in the middle of Cape Cod, and in a couple hundred year-old mansion, which comes with a daily FREE breakfast & dinner (dinner is awesome) that... More

Stayed at the Colonial House Inn for six nights last week. Had a great time! Food and service were very good, and Mac (the owner) and his team did everything they could to make us feel welcome. Mac even made sure we had online access to ESPN so that we could keep up with the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. The restaurant... More

We stayed at the Colonial House Inn for three nights for our first trip to Cape Cod. The Inn's decor is very charming in a classic New England / Norman Rockwell sense. Our room was comfortable and furnished with everything one would find in a typical moderately priced hotel, without being bland or generic. The proprietor Mac was very personable... More

Since the inn is pet friendly and, I suspect, does not thoroughly de-dander a room after a pet has been a guest (e.g., by shampooing the carpeting), allergens remain for subsequent guests. One solution would be to designate some rooms as pet-free.

We stayed at the Colonial House Inn for several days during my daughter's wedding. The owner and the staff were extremely accommodating to our various needs. The highlight was a delicious brunch held at the Inn for friends and relatives. Everyone loved the food and the service was excellent as usual. I would recommend the Inn for anyone planning a... Where do I start ? I like the fact that the place is gay owned and that their deals on stays include breakfast and dinner , but that's about the only thing to like about this place. After 8:00 p.m. apparently the inn keeper goes home , and leaves no contact information where he can be reached in the event... More

My husband, daughter, and I stayed overnight for a quick getaway. This place was hard to categorize and a little weird. The staff was very nice and we thought that the owner was also very pleasant. The outside is very impressive looking and we liked the location. Our room rate included dinner and breakfast and we liked the food. Dinner... More

We stayed here for the Cape Cod Cannabis convention held on May 2nd. In addition to the beautiful spring weather, the place was charming and the grounds were immaculate. The Innkeeper, Malcolm Perna, was a gracious and accommodating host. The event had over 300 attendees but there was plenty of space for everyone. We partook of the buffet dinner put... More

The service at our reception was terrible. Our host was not to be found, our head waiter put the cake on a wobbly table (also the frosting was melty because it had not been refrigerated as it should have been),he couldn't find the toasting glasses, almost served the wrong champagne and instead of saving the top of the cake, cut it...
