The bedroom and bathroom were very small and not clean. I was quite uncomfortable with the aethetics. It was not as advertised or expected. The front office welcome from Mac was warm and appreciated. The dining room service was amateurish. Food was adequate. Breakfast was better than dinner. Overall, we would not return.

Service was ok not great. The room needs updating and cciuld be more cleaned. Food could have been better. Same menu nothing to look forward to.The location Is great not to far from 28 and route 6. Be careful if you are solo, they should take $20 off each night. They did not take mine off.

Time to upgrade Folks. Colonial House Inn looks liked a B&B from 1981. The paint was peeling, whoever wallpapered the Inn should go back to their previous profession. They need to upgrade their linens, towels & toiletries. After drying off with the towels, I was left with lint all over. Terrible.

I love this inn! The owner, Mac, was an amazing character and very knowledgable. I grew up on the Cape and felt like this was a place I could live! Rooms are small, even for a couple and their dogs, but that is where I found its charm. The house itself is a maze-indoor pool could be better maintained but... More

Mac IS the Colonial House Inn. My sister and I were in the area for a funeral, and Mac turned what could have been a stressful situation into a caring, helpful relationship. He treated our guests like they were his guests. The home-made sausage quiche at the complimentary breakfast was outstanding as was the service for all meals. One of... More

This was our 2nd trip to the Inn and will be booking our third soon. Mac is extremely nice and very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He makes you feel like home and it's so much better than saying in a cookie cutter hotel. And our little dog loved the place too. Looking forward to checking out the murder... More

The food was outstanding. The rooms are a bit dated but that is to be expected in an old sea captain's house. The prices were very reasonable. It has a beautiful grassy area. The proprietor was training a young man from Russia and a young man from China the way to run an Inn in the USA.

Loved it. The main home where we stayed was built in the 1700's, so those of you expecting the Ritz or a Marriott for that matter stay elsewhere. If you want a charming stay in the middle of Cape Cod, and in a couple hundred year-old mansion, which comes with a daily FREE breakfast & dinner (dinner is awesome) that... More

Stayed at the Colonial House Inn for six nights last week. Had a great time! Food and service were very good, and Mac (the owner) and his team did everything they could to make us feel welcome. Mac even made sure we had online access to ESPN so that we could keep up with the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. The restaurant... More

We stayed at the Colonial House Inn for three nights for our first trip to Cape Cod. The Inn's decor is very charming in a classic New England / Norman Rockwell sense. Our room was comfortable and furnished with everything one would find in a typical moderately priced hotel, without being bland or generic. The proprietor Mac was very personable... More
