My husband and I stayed at Colonial House Inn over the weekend. The staff was great especially the Innkeeper. We stayed in the Main House. Our room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We also had dinner at their restaurant which is included with the room. The food was great....I had the free range chicken which was one of the best meals I've ever... more

I would like to start off by saying that my wife and I do a fair amount of traveling. I would define "fair amount" as at least 1-2 times a year. We have even stayed at various places on the Cape (I would say approximately a half dozen different places over the years). This is by FAR the worst place... more

We stayed here for three nights. If we weren't with a big group, I would've left before the first night, even though we had paid in advance. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the sheets were old, the bathrooms were outdated, the entire place smelled, and the so-called pool and hot tub were frightening. The breakfast was fine, but not very... more

This place is rundown and threadbare. My bed had a board between it and the box spring. It was like sleeping in a canoe...very tippy. The box springs were stained, sagging and torn...they had to be 50 years old. The rooms were hot and musty (the AC window unit was located in the bathroom.) I don't mind old, but this... more

We went to the Colonial House on Friday for a get away weekend, under the impression that it was a classy B&B. Well it may have been 25 years ago but it is run down and not comfortable at all. We left on Saturday, even though we paid for two nights. Here is a sample of the issues we had:... more

My husband and I stayed with friends at The Colonial House Inn for one night and quite honestly it was the worst B&B we have ever stayed in. It was filthy, tired and unpleasant. The staff were downright rude and the owner very nasty. The state of the bedrooms defy description....the sheets were nasty purple brushed nylon, the bed had springs... more

The musty smell in our Carriage House bedroom was kept to a minimum with constant AC. Everything is tired--the towels were the worst I have ever experienced. The furniture in outdoor common areas was in disrepair, from the front porch to the back deck and lawn. Chairs were broken, the chair cushions, and umbrellas need to be replaced (urgently). The... more

Mark and Lisa, Syracuse, New York We Love the inn. This was our 3rd stay. We stayed at several different bed and breakfasts over the years before discovering the Colonial House Inn. The others were nice. But the Colonial House Inn is like staying at a relatives big old house where you feel right at home. Malcolm (Mac), the owner,... more

Had a family event on the Cape and opted to stay here. It's one of the few hotels in the area that would allow a one night stay on a weekend. This is a large historic bed and breakfast, not a chain hotel. It's also on a really popular stretch of vacation area. Previous visits to the Cape have had... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at this Lovely Inn this past weekend. Rooms were fresh & clean. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Staff super. But I can't say enough about Dinner . From the really fresh chilled garden salad (included with the meal) to the decadent Chocolate browning pudding, everything was perfect. My girl had the blackened fresh... more
