If you are the fussy sort with a narrow definition of "perfection" who expects a sterile hotel/inn experience surrounded by same boring sort of travelers that can be found in any location, do not stay here. If you are willing to expand your horizons and experience something unique, you will love it here. The experience at the Colonial House Inn... More

This is the one and only time I have ever posted on this type of site but I feel so strogly that I feel obliged to warn others who may be considering staying here. We had the misfortune of booking this place for the last day of our vacation in August. We wanted somewhere special for our last night. The... More

We had stayed on the Cape before and on this return visit wanted to try a new place. Ran across this online and saw mixed reviews. Given that we knew it was an old home I was not concerned that some said it smelled musty or that it needs updates because you do expect that somewhat in an old home.... More

We stayed here for one night while on a short visit to Cape Cod. It is a very old home so adjust your expectations. The bed rooms are not lavish, but they are neat and simple. The bathroom was clean. There was air conditioning and wi-fi. Also dinner entrees and breakfast were included. The price was very reasonable. We have... More

Colonial House Inn sounded charming and quaint online, but is neither. It is a beautiful old home on the exterior but lacked in basics on the inside. Memory foam bed (described online) consisted of a thin piece of foam laid on top of the mattress. The "EgyptIan cotton sheets" were thin and scratchy and the pillows were very thin. The... More

How are you going to look after 200 hundred years? When you stay at the Inn remember that you are sleeping in a room that is over 150 years. Can you imagine who else may have been in that room. Go there, and enjoy yourself.

My mom, myself, and my two small dogs spent a weekend there at the end of July, and we very much enjoyed our stay. Mac was very hospitable, the inn was very clean, and the breakfast was incredible, as well as the service. Also enjoy the hot tub in the indoor pool room.

This inn should be a charmer but it isn't. There are countless B&Bs in the area that are cleaner and in better repair for a similar price. I checked in for two nights last week. The room I was given was filthy. The ring in the bathtub was weeks old. There were even streaks through it where, at some time... More

We were looking for a reasonable hotel in a good location. Rates were great and included dinner and full breakfast for two! The owner us super nice and free parking. Rooms are dated but god for the price.

Had our wedding reception here due to it being across the street from the historical church we chose to be married in. The inn keep told us we would have a better value without an open bar, not the case... I later found out my guests paid $7 . for a Dixie cup with hardly any alcohol. The past hordorves... More
